I don’t think it goes deeper than Letty being very upset at that time. She could hear the whole cast talking shit and laughing at her and she looked visibility shaken. Jet is soft. There’s no other way to put it.I kind of don't get why Jet stopped Letty from sleeping on a chili stained sheet, or why he remarked that it "Made them look bad". Like I get the moral reasons, it looks absolutely pathetic to sleep on a dirty bed and to have trash all around the room. Jet seems to be a nice guy, so I'm sure seeing that made him feel bad. But, the whole point of the show is that these people have to live in and survive a hellish environment for 6 weeks. The house being dirty is pretty much a given at this point.
I understand that they have to stop certain things for liability reasons (such as taping her arms since that could be a fall hazard) but I can't really think of how sleeping on a stained sheet is a liability. It seems like Jet is a softie and not cut out for the original concept of the show.
I thought it was good cop/bad cop. But it’s clear it goes further than that. Jon told Letty to her face they’d been talking shit and left to go make chicken. Letty rolled over to cry. In two minutes flat Jet rushes in with special snacks and tells her to have a good night.
