Ian and Anisa can live their lives however, etc. and can grow/change beyond past content, but the thing that irked me was how Ian said Anisa wanted no part of it. She got involved and her mother did too, it's just flat out false. Don't want the drama? Don't participate in it when it's avoidable; in Anisa's case, she didn't need to address it at all on Twitter. As lolcows do though, she couldn't resist. That makes you fair game.
Just as Ian can change and grow up beyond his old content, the fact that Sam has grown up from his old stuff is relevant too. It's too easy to just say "redpilled incels" and sweep up people who like Hyde's content in one blanket group. The Sam Hyde of the 2010s is different than the one now; calling him out on his old sins while Ian and his fans cry foul on his old content is hypocritical.
