A little late but it's just as likely that Chantal doesn't want to be seen in public as it is that Salad doesn't want to be seen with her in public. She's freakishly fat, barely mobile, extremely sweaty, and she can't hide how loudly she huffs and puffs after waddling just a few feet. Visiting mostly empty places is a win-win for both of them and I can't really imagine her fighting with him about it.

I noticed someone in the comments say that they wanted to "warn her" that they got two trigger warnings from YouTube before loading her video, one for eating disorders and one for grief. I can't speak for @Thomas Eugene Paris but I think it's the contagious nature of it and the like full belly guffawing. If someone's laugh makes me laugh, I'm usually sold.
