Russian support isn't exactly something rare in Kharkiv. Or at least it wasn't before the war (things change when people you know are getting dragged into one side or the other). A lot of the territory that Ukraine was able to reclaim in the counteroffensive that led to Lyman had a ton of people who previously voted for pro-Russian politicians. It's more complex than "this side of fence has these people; the other has those people".

Whether they maintain their support for Russia after all that's happened is uncertain. If anyone tells you with certainty how many have "turned" or hunkered down in their support, they're talking out their fucking ass. You can't survey a population that has shifted so much geographically as a result of being in the epicenter of a conflict.

That being said, Lira should have fucked off long ago. But he is either retarded or being offered a very sweet deal by the FSB for sticking around and just doing his thing (or, quite likely, both). This wouldn't be the first time the FSB relied on retards. There are tons of examples of the ATF, FBI, or CIA doing this too.

He was probably too much of a coward to cross the battle lines, which to be fair I don't blame him for, nevertheless his presence in Ukraine was retarded from the beginning.

The SBU investigators have served him a notice of suspicion under Art. 2 and 3 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (production and dissemination of materials justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, committed repeatedly).

The court imposed a custody as a measure of restraint. The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime.

The complex measures were carried out by the SBU officers in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office."

Whatever translation software that did this has translated рашист (rashist) as 'racist' when it's one of the nicknames for Russians, though I think it's meant to be a play on the local pronunciation of 'racist'.

Gonzalo is a prototypical conman, and this should always be noted whenever discussing his motives.

His living in Ukraine from what I can gather started pre-war, and up until the invasion he never believed there would be an invasion. Hence he was in Kyiv when the invasion started and struggled to get back to Kharkiv for the first month or so due to the Russia attempts to encircle both cities. This is important, because it's clear that he genuinely was surprised by this development.

Prior to the war he was trying to set up some Tyler Durdan fight club like nonsense called the LZ, where young men from the West would come and live, do his chores, support one another until they could find work and move out to start a new life in Ukraine. He had lots of weird pseudo-macho rules people had to follow.

At the same time he was predicting the decadence of the West would lead to it's downfall, and therefore people should move to Ukraine which for whatever reason was like the ideal society opposed to those Western values which are decadent, but still European or some shit.

He also promoted his own brand of accelerationism, suggesting his followers jam locks with toothpicks and glue to help speed up the collapse of the West.

Now he grifts as a pro-Russian in Ukraine, who opposes the war and is in the known. Turns up on loads of weird, usually far left, Western media to tell people how the Russians are going to win this time!

Does he believe any of this shit? I have no clue, it could easily of been a trap to get young men to come and do his housework for him.

No, he was too much of an idiot. What battle lines would he be crossing on a train to Poland?

Like Josh said, he was apparently under house arrest. Though if he was smart he could have escaped. I saw an interview with a journalist recently who was placed under house arrest by the SBU last year and had all of his money and devices confiscated. He got together some cash by selling silver cutlery in pawn shops and getting a train to Poland, managing to do so with an internal ID card, not even a passport.

A foreign citizen like CRP I imagine would have had even more opportunity to get the fuck out but he happens to be a colossal retard.

@mofu mofo "Rashist" is a portmanteau of "Russian" and "Fascist", owed to their sense of superiority toward "little russians" and ethnic minorities, as well as actions it resulted in, namely annexation of Crimea, invasion of Ukraine and the whole proclamation that Ukrainians as people don't exist and that they're just misguided little russians who needs to be reminded of their place.
