IIRC he did say something about 'I was there in Keef when the Russians were just outside the city' and I forget what the rest of that sentence was about but my initial assumption was: that's bullshit. But if we take it at face value it means he was in Kyiv for the first like month or so maybe, Russians didn't stay too long there.
