I laughed unreasonably hard at this. Some unsuspecting dickhead got an inbox full of beast shits and can't see the hilarity.

During the Podcast Katie mentioned that once people found out that she was making an episode about Tomlinson, she started getting abusive phone calls, then her wife and her family. She said she was only mentioning it to make clear that they are in fact the worst people on the internet, and will start harrassing someone at the drop of a hat. One of them that was outraged that Patrick might have once threatened his girlfriend casually said that Herzog deserved to be beaten to death.

Patrick is just funny, but the guys on ONA seem to have this self righteous streak to them that makes them truly nauseating.

This is offbase. The calls to her are recorded and she isn't willing to listen to what they're saying. She seemed baffled they could find her number. SpaceEdge (I think) tells her about Piggys crimes and other bullshit and she just asks him to text it. She then lies to him and says the story isn't about Patrick but about Jackie. Katie had no interest in putting out a real story on Fatrick and just took his nonsense as truth.

They do talk shit to her about having a disgusting furry reachout to people on her behalf though; which is one of the few things that OnA & Jackie/Pat can agree on.

She did talk to Space Edge initially... but he was very brave because he was anonymous and ringing from a burner phone. She then stopped taking his calls which he found to be outrageous. Hence why she should be beaten to death, and pictures of her home posted all over onaforums.

Incidentally you notice how much calmer this thread is since Kiwi Farms moved to Tor only. Almost as if the window licking boomers can't navigate Tor, and have to stick to their pozzed web 1.0 site.

Jesse did the Kiwifarms story, Katie did the one on Rick, that's why it was terrible and poorly researched. I started listening after Jesse did a pretty fair job on The Farms, but this was just terrible. You have to build the story with all of the small lies he tells, so by the time you get to him vandalizing his bike and SWATTTTTTtttturrrring himself, it's believable. This was presented as "this forum is SWATing this guy and saying he's doing it".

I knew a guy who worked at a record store that was closing down. Someone from the local paper went to interview him about it and asked, "Would you say this was a place for the local teens to hang out?" and he answered, "No, people pretty much come here to buy records and leave." The story quoted him as saying, "It was a place for the local teens to hang out." That was the vibe of this podcast.

Speaking of podcasts, can I stop following Obscura now? Is he done with the SFWA?
