King of the hill appreciation thread - Yup.

This really reminds of a scene from this episode

Apparently it got confirmed that the show’s revival will involve a time jump to Bobby being an adult.

I hope that they will keep the hand-animated frame-by-frame style. If they move to some shitty flash tween animation to save money, I don't know if I could sit through an episode.

Just don't know how I feel about that, it's going to frankly be a new show entirely. At the same time I'm glad they're not going to just continue the show how it was originally ended. By the end of the series all dramatic plotlines were solved, even a total piece of shit like Buck Strictland got a positive episode with him connecting with an estranged bastard son.

Did Boomhauer finally marry a woman? They had that episode where he seemingly hooked up with a French Canadian girl but then she got memoryholed. Is Bill still forever alone? Is Dale going to make references to modern day conspiracy theories, I hope not I cringe so hard when QAnon gets referenced on tv. Does Bobby have a son now? Maybe you can have Hank and Peggy adopt GH so there's still a Bobby-style character.

luanne will likely not be in the show, maybe they'll have her moved to another state for something idk. alternative is them using ai to have the voice in the show anyway but i highly doubt that
Neither is Lucky, as Tom Petty is also dead. Which would mean the episodes would have Luanne and Lucky namedropped or mentioned that they are with Buckley in heaven.

I'll go with being with Buckley in heaven, it's better then getting the Chuck Cunningham syndrome. I guess they could play Dream Academy's song "Life in a northern town" when they think of them in some flashback scenes.

I have no idea how they're going to handle Dale. Easily a third if not more of Dale's conspiracy theories that were played off as jokes have proven to be factual since the show's original run.

In the current political climate it's going to be very difficult to have an anti globalist conspiracy theorist as a character.

Unless said character is a villain.

But what would make of Kahn, Minh, Connie, John Redcorn or Buck Strickland?

Kahn died so they don't have to recast the character, can't have Mayo Ghouls voicing BIPOCs. Minh married Bill to please yellow fever fans. Connie has a family. John Redcorn married the woman who had Joseph's half sister. Buck is still the owner of Strickland Propane but Hank is the manager.

I really think they have to make GH Bobby 2.0. He'd canonically would be Bobby's age when Bobby is in his 20s.

Buck was 68 years old, already had heart failure issues, smoked, and drank like a fish. It would be optimistic to think he'd still be alive.

It's a cartoon though. And he wad special because Buck was the only person who stayed a rather shitty person.

Yeah, chances Buck might have give Strickland propane to his son Randy or his brother Randy. I guess Buck is now in heaven with Luanne, Buckey, Lucky and Cotton.

You know, you can delete one accidental double post.

That... that is something I could honestly see happening and... could be entertaining. Bill has proven he could be a decent dad and would probably be ok about connecting with Connie.

By far the biggest twist would be the revelation that he has a kid - probably with one (or both) of those New Orleans chicks. So then instead of Bobby & Joseph, we get GH + Bill Jr.
