Ehh, I'm more in the middle. I'm more of Francine Smith being dumb over Turanga Leela being dumb.Rewatching the first season, I prefered the later dumb Peggy to stock sitcom mom Peggy.

Oh it';s definitely one of my favorite episodes, actually in the top 5.I recently rewatched the episode where Hank carried the Olympic Torch through Arlen, and I forgot how good that episode was.
The jokes are obvious, often downright stupid. "Everyman, Texas who thinks Real America of John Wayne is still a thing learns about gay people and new agey things" like how is that funny after the billionth time..maybe in 1998 but its overplayed now.
Not to mention the animation is fucking horrible. It is weird as i like mike judges other stuff
Yea it seems like in the 13th season, writers and crew seemed noticeably burnout, even giving to account that the show was already facing cancellation from the network due to its ongoing sporting events going overtime thus having the animated shows being difficult to air on Sunday unless its Simpsons, Family Guy and, even right now, Bob's Burgers. This is why King of the Hill, as well as The PJs, Futurama, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, and even at one point Family Guy, were screwed over by the network.Well, I finished rewatching all 13 seasons of King of the Hill.
I think in the last season, they were starting to run out of ideas, so it was probably best to end it then.
Overall, I found the show funny and consistently entertaining all the way throughout. I actually enjoyed it more on this rewatch than when I watched it in my youth because I got some more of the subtle and deadpan jokes.

But I beat you to the punch almost a month ago
ToucheTo be fair I don't have my mouth attached to the teat of the thread like you
If the KotH reboot/revival just ended up being an animated Monsignor Martinez I would officially grant Mike Judge a lifetime "spare this human" award and appoint him emperor of Earth. And here's the live-action pilot pitch
If this is any indication, this will be Mike Judge's answer to Fox for having his show be cancelled in favor of Family Guy's own spinoff. If the KotH reboot/revival just ended up being an animated Monsignor Martinez I would officially grant Mike Judge a lifetime "spare this human" award and appoint him emperor of Earth.
Damn, this really should have been in Spanish. Or the Monsignor speaks Spanish and everyone speaks English, but they understand him just fine for plot reasons. After all, all we want is for Monsignor Martinez murder hobo his way through the show anyways. And here's the live-action pilot pitch
I honestly reacted the same here. But I still didn't mind him speaking English. I'm still bummed out that it was never picked for an actual show.Damn, this really should have been in Spanish.
