About the religion angle, Nick does send his kids to some kind of Protestant confirmation class, so he has some connections to a body of other Christians, but I doubt he attends regularly.

He has said before that 'he only really learns from the music', 'he's a bad Christian', 'he doesn't think Jesus was divine', and he loved going to online services during COVID. He has always been low-key about his religion, but it was more 'cagey', in actuality. Like his degenerate self, Nick thought he was cool enough to drop the religion act.

I understand it. I am not the most flamboyant about faith, and I don't go around trying to change people's minds. Most people do NOT have some deep religious connection, but most of them respect a lot of the dedication and moral ideals that they are supposed to exemplify. I, personally, agree with Alexopoulous over Matt Walsh on this topic, because I've seen what happens to a religious culture when they don't strive to make beautiful things and instead only focus on practical things. I hate the disingenuous takes by people like Nick who conflate pornography with art. It reminds me of browsing /r/atheism back in the late 2000's. What is more incredulous to me is that he would come to this conclusion being raised as a Roman Catholic. The snatches of memories where he recounted having HBO as a child, the swearing and profanity from a young age, his escapades with Drexel, the vauge family drama surrounding his sister, and the like make me think that his parents were not the strictest parents.

Regardless of the reason, he was not tied very closely to the Church despite his grandparents' close enough association to meet Benedict. I am not shaming inter-faith marriages (though I question their wisdom) but his marriage to a Protestant and attendance of their churches while using Catholic vocabulary to describe them all point to this same conclusion.

We know that Rumble severely inflates the viewership of their videos. I was curious about other indicators of viewership though and realized that both YouTube and Rumble have a "like" button.

So taking a look at streams recently and comparing their likes/views ratio. Here is YouTube (via Playboard)

He gets roughly 9% of his viewers to click "Like" on his videos. That's not bad, and Playboard ranks his overall like % (at 7.51) as Very High.

Let's take a look at his Rumble numbers:

Ooooof. So of his 100k+ viewers, he can only get 1300 of them to click the like button? I averaged out over the same period as the YouTube screenshot, and he averages 1.27% of his viewers clicking like on his Rumble videos.

I can think of a few reasons for this. 1) His viewers might not watch him on YouTube, but they head over to YouTube and click like to help him there. 2) Rumble seriously fucks with view numbers by as much as 10x. 3) Rumble viewers just don't care to press the like button ever.

Oddly though, it appears that only the livestreams count extra views. His last short form content (basically 30 min clips of his livestream) on Rumble got only 5.8k views, with 238 likes (4%).

To compare, I went to Steven Crowder's Rumble channel and compared his views and likes. On YouTube recently, Crowder gets roughly 4% likes. On Rumble, Crowder gets around 1.5% likes, but they claim he gets millions of views per video.

I highly doubt that YouTube's audience is more likely to press the like button than Rumble's, but that's possible. My guess is that something to do with their underlying tech causes it to log extra views when livestreaming. I'm not in the video player web dev space, so someone else will likely have a better explanation.
