20 people made the original Deus Ex, a game that revolutionized the action RPG genre forever, in 34 months. That's a little less then three years. Sure, the graphics are pretty shit (though more interesting to look at then Rev60's shit), but just think about all the content-you can waste hours of game time just fucking around in the UNATCO offices, talking to people in Hell's Kitchen, read book excerpts and fake news articles, explore side areas, go for a swim, fight radioactive fire breathing midget dragons, take drugs, smoke cigarettes and much much more. 20 people did all of that in three years.

In 20 months, John Flynt can't re-release a game with the only addition being so much lens flare that JJ Abrams just got a boner and he doesn't know why. The game is technically already finished! It just needs a port!

EDIT: The Deus Ex guys actually did it in 28 months, since 6 months of the 34 were pre-production, so actual time spent building the game was 28 months!

You certainly didn't expect to post something about my favorite game of all time without me saying a few words, right?

Even after 16 years, there's still tiny details and little twists and turns that you can explore.
It's a game that manages to surprise you even after almost 2 decades, a game that you can just enjoy over and over again and still not run out of new solutions to old problems. And it does so while keeping track of your every move and from time to time addressing even your most miniscule actions with a little nod here and there.
This is what Warren Spector called "emergent gameplay", basically just build a game that allows the player as much freedom as possible, give every possible action a fitting reaction/outcome/impact and let the player decide.
THAT is how a good dev can lay the foundation for a game that will become an instant classic.

Wu, on the other hand, has made a game that boosts 24 different (ie: superficially different) endings, however they are just slapped together out of ill-fitting set-pieces and throughout the game, your actions have absolutely NO impact on where the story goes, until 5 minutes before the end credits, where you get a few shallow choices.
And just to top it all off, the game is ugly as sin, looks like it was designed by a grade schooler ("put Tribals everywhere durr") and the gameplay is garbage.

What is it Wu always tried to push about her game? Something about how it's the first video game to have a really powerful design-agenda or something?

This is John, so it's likely unintentional, but to my mind the way he's handled the "WU IS A TRANNY" meme is probably the smartest thing he's done. By not openly sperging about people calling him a tranny, even while irrefutable evidence can be found with a Google search, it gets around that he's mtf, thus earning him valuable minority points among the left (I believe there was a left-wing article posted a while back where the author openly calls Wu a tranny), while still allowing him to maintain his illusion that he's a true and honest womyn.
Not admitting to being trans also allows John to hide his total lack of credentials. When pressed he can privately message people saying "please don't tell anyone but I'm actually trans, I got my degree under my deadname, blah blah harassment, blah blah oppression, blah blah gamergate" Most media people will just accept that because John's a feminist with a strong identity card.

Hell, your boss even gets on your ass if you go into the woman's room. It's odd, I brought up Deus Ex cause I knew it was a small team working their asses off (and hell, for even more reference, 4 guys did the entirety of Pokemon Gold and Silver in 3 and a half years), but if there's a game that actually deserves the tagline Rev60 has (One Choice Changes Everything), it's Deus Ex. Though in that case, it's more "Every Choice Changes Your Destiny". Heck, the game was even originally planned with an option to stay with UNATCO and MJ12, effectively siding with the villains (was dummied out because of time). Lots of games these days allow you to swap sides or even turn heel if you really want too-hell, if you wanted a villainous ending, you could sell your Vault out in Fallout 1 and join The Master. Was Brianna ever planning to let the player completely jump ship and side with the bad guys? Absolutely not, that's not Mary Sue enough.

Where's the Milo expose? Surely it's not going to be another broken promise of big things that are totally going to happen next week.
Soon: "The Milo expose is practically done, all I have to do is to convert it into a pdf file and push 'upload', it'll be released in late August!"
December: "See, here's the milo expose. I'll put a short exerpt online... Oh wait, there's a typo in the first paragraph, I thought I'd corrected that..."
March 2017: "To all my patreon supporters, I need money to hire someone to format my article and to deal with BernieBros in my inbox."
June 2017: "What Milo expose?"
July 2017: "Oh right, yeah, you were talking about my expose on how GG and BB are behind Milo! I almost got it done. GG and BB are out in full swing and there has been new Info I totally wanted to add in! Stay tuned for a release in September!"
January 2018: "I've decided to turn it into a book instead, since it's that much material I have to cover!"
November 2019: "I want to write an article about the future of Donald Trumps second legislature period, all other projects have to wait. Expect this new article to come out early 2020. Also, Frank ate our dogs and kicked me out of our house. Is there any fan willing to take me in? Don't PM me unless you earn at least 300k a year."

Just because your parents hate you and you happen to be trans doesn't mean every parent hates that their kid is trans John. And stop trying to preach for the cause of black people and cops. You're the exact type of uppity yuppy bitch that will panic and contemplate calling the police if a black man so much as looks at you.

Well the difference between Dues Ex and Rev 60 is simple.

One team has actual, trained game developers and software engineers on it and the other team has an imaginary person, a screaming idiot and a someone whose greatest skill is lying about their past on it.

I'll let you guess which is which.

What the hell, this came out of relative nowhere. Was not expecting this. Still no update in SteamDB, though. I think changes to the Steam store page would show up there, but I'm not 100% certain.
Wasn't the story trailer done months ago? Remember when it was found on dailymotion and she started screaming how GamerGate hacked her account to get it?
I guess...because it was noticed before it was announced it had to be redone?
