Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Something that made the rounds during the downtime was this clip of the newest Transformers series. At least it wasn't Peter Cullen voicing Optimus View attachment 5128304

May this series burn and everyone involved get axed. And may Peter Cullen laugh all the way to the bank. And may the character designers get canceled on Twitter for that coon-looking racial caricature of a gremlin.

Remember when Transformers was about heroic Autobots fighting the evil Decepticons?

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" is an archaic idea, we need to compel pronoun usage.

I mean to be fair it was a toy commercial then and now, taking the occasional break to service the politics of the day is the sort of thing that's not too surprising. Honestly been a while since I watched any Transformers stuff though really.

Wasn’t it in like the fcc guidelines back then to have psa's in cartoons

The Five Nights at Freddy's movie will either be a cinematic masterpiece or a disaster made to highlight even more furry artists that will have works uploaded to rule34.

Either way, this one can not fail, unless something big happens.
Isn't it live action/CGI though, and not fully animated? Or do those count here?

Speaking of Scott Cawthon, here's a series called Birdvillage he did back in the day:

It doesn't even have any of the sexy ones from the sequels. What's the fucking point?
I predict something completely unmemorable (Just like everything past the third game ...except for the drama, lol)

Anyone so much as expecting this film to be anywhere near "good" is beyond :optimistic:. At best, this film will just be your bogstandard horror action film like the countless other "scary" flicks out there, only this time it's brandishing the FNaF ip as its main hook. If it didn't have that going for it, it would've ended up being yet another scary, forgetful horror movie nobody cares about.

Ghostbusters 2016 meet Transformers 2023. :story:
Everyone already knew that months before. And besides, you do realize that there are other SJW movies that came out between the two (i.e. The Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker, Captain Marvel, Tomb Raider 2018, Oceans 8, Birds of Prey, Black Panther, etc.). So you calling Rise of the Beast the new Ghostbusters 2016 is just selling the movie.

I want you all to know with the raise of AI and chatbots taking over, this Futurama joke will reach its ultimatum. It's like a fine wine or cheese finally aged to perfection:
That joke always felt to me like it was trying too hard to be a gay parallel despite having nothing in common.

I'm happy that the first group to actually go on strike to prevent AI from taking their jobs are the turbo faggot Hollywood writers who spent the last 3 decades fedora tipping how religious people are against progress and will try to genocide AI due to short mindness.

Frankly that sounds more like a REASON to replace them with AI, not a threat. It's not like modern TV could be any more soulless or vapid.

The trailer for Nimona, based on a comic by She-Ra Netflix showrunner Stevenson has dropped recently.
How the fuck is Netflix still alive at this point? it's so pozzed that it can't afford to keep its animated shows (aside big mouth) alive, but somehow still able to give any loudmouth on Twitter with a drawing tablet a show.

I feel like I should crosspost this on a Futurama thread as @Flexo and I already discussed about this in one of that thread's pages. The Fox-era may have done a couple topical episodes like this, as well as the 300 Big Boys episode (which the latter commentated on W. Bush's controversial 300 dollar currency at the time), but the execution to both of these were great because they only focused on the humor aspect and not talking down to the audience about them in context, unlike most Comedy Central (and as of right now Hulu) episodes where they act too much like South Park and Family Guy with on-the-nose topical humor.

That's what that episode was a comment on? I thought it was a comment on some bs promise Bush made to commemorate his election by promising the first tax season under his administration would guarantee a 300 buck minimum refund to all American taxpayers. Nowadays chump change when it's a tax refund but back in y2k? You'd be lucky to even get a refund and not have to pay too much in tax...then again that's cause most people owned things like property, business, vehicles...and so on so they HAD to pay taxes on those kinda things.
