I've listened to a shitton of flat earth debates as background noise and I can say conclusively that the debunkers, as spergy as they often are, are not particulary funny. Flat earthers are funny, but their community is dying and their material is so heavily censored it gets hard to find.
For example there was this funny clip of Nathan Thompson yelling at school children about the flat earth, but they deleted his channel and the only clip I can find is embedded by this neckbeard complaining about it:

I'm not arguing whether it's a good idea or not, just how TF put out the Busted video in the same league with his others that are clearly scams. The videos I posted are more recent than his as was the NASA agreement. The point is it exists, "works" (in as much as a payload can be sent into space with their contraption) and given the scale of what they've spent/built it doesn't seem to me like all the other get-rich-quick schemes from his other vids.

TL;DR: At least real science is being done there. Good or bad something scientifically useful is being learned with it. If TF had integrity he would at least acknowledge that.

He did try, as I remember when @Kraut 's gay ops Discord server blew up ThunderF00ts defense for being in it was that he couldn't figure out how Discord worked and it was too complicated. Unfortunately for him, he forgot he had made a video shortly prior to that criticizing Anita for doing a Go Fund Me to set up a Discord server, where he talked about how easy it was to do and how he managed to set one up in minutes without all that funding.

Christopher Hitchens carried a lot of the atheist community at the time online, guys like thunderf00t, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Sargon, Armored Skeptic were largely charmless buffoons who used what little social graces they had to entice people into their autistic rants about some Christian fossil that most of the public doesn't take seriously already. Hitchens was bloated, blotchy, drunk but also very charming and had the gift of gab and was able to make most arguments palatable to some degree to anyone. Bill Maher doesn't really talk about religion that much anymore, plus he never has new guests on and keeps recycling the same oldies over and over again and his show' is insanely boring. When professors and such publish papers they travel to conferences to give talks on them, so he probably does travel for work. However, he should have permanent residence in Czechland or whatever by now (it's been over 5 years), and since he also has UK citizenship he would be able to treat travelling in Europe like Brexit never happened (show residence card to enter EU, show UK passport to enter UK, no risk of denied entry nor a time limit in either direction).

I think Thunderf00t didn't grow up from that period of life where we all think that only if people believed in pure facts and logic, everything would be better. The reality is, he'll do some fun things that don't matter, while Musk will inspire people and even if he accomplishes nothing, the people who look up to him might. This is something Thunderf00t never realized, there's a value to the guy who can make something mainstream. I was much more in his camp when I was younger, but the more you look into history, the more you realize it's not as cut and dry as people think.

Jobs is a great example, he didn't event the Graphical User Interface (GUI) that we all use today, that was Xerox, a massive company that should have had no issue pushing it to the public with them being the people who invented the concept of a computer mouse which didn't exist before as computers at the time used type writer interfaces only, hence DOS and what Linux consul commands are.

Why did Xerox fail? Well, they tried to show companies the concept and overpriced it, eventually it ended up being an internal only concept. Jobs saw it and jizzed himself, eventually roping them into turning it over to him and as such Apple had a massive advantage in user interface to the public. Sure, he didn't create it, but he knew how to get people to get it, and that's a value in itself which Thunderf00t will never get because he's a retard that refuses to grow up.

it's important to remember that while thunderf00t is probably just right about most things in general, he acts like just such a tremendous faggot a lot of the time and that there's no need to feel like you need to contadict him like some do on the farms. but it's also good to admit when he has a good point. praise the dog when he is a good boy and shove his face into it when he shits on the rug.

the problem is, among other things, he can't admit to nuance or seem to recognize other people's concerns about shit. take Brexit.
