A female friend of mine sent me an article about Nike using a tranny in their swimsuit marketing campaign. When I pushed her on it she admitted to being uncomfortable about it and admitted it was like her sex was being erased. I said I agree and felt bad for women at the moment especially in sports. Then she said the most batshit crazy thing I’ve ever heard. Instead of blaming mentally ill pervert trannies for female erasure, she blamed the fucking patriarchy. Because they don't think of it as roleplay in the banal sense - in an age where if you're without a social media presence, you're seen as a nobody, the avatars people have are intended to project one's idealized self. This is why digital art is a currency online, as many trans people have animal or outlandish but still recognizably anthropomorphic profile pictures and avatars, usually with desirable sexual characteristics - given they have already untethered themselves to their physical, real-world appearance and identity already, it feels necessary to embody an idealized one online. This translates into the logic implied in that Tweet that male interests are uniformly gender-confirmative and any interest in female 'aesthetics' must be evidence of transgenderism.

You can see the inverse version of this thinking in mainstream consoomer Hollywood, particularly from Disney - characters are increasingly written in anticipation of the belief that people outside of that character's demographic cannot relate to them in any way.

I personally often default to roleplaying seductive, villainous and/or authoritarian female characters because I'm a fan of that trope on TV and in movies, not because I'm convinced it's representative of my true self.

I noticed something with many AGP/AAP troons that are writers or into RPG games that i know, is that once they ended up fully committed to the brainworm, they lost the ability to write characters with the acknowledgement that these characters are other people, and not them. All they will be doing with their stories end up with self insert.

It’s a weird combination of self obsession and lack of theory of mind (oh… autism…)
They cannot see that a character in a book or movie or game is there for an external reason. The character is there to drive the plot, or to be a plot point, or to entertain or annoy or horrify or symbolise something that is not them. it’s a story. A plot, a character. It’s NOT YOU.
They cannot see it without it being them. This is child level mental working, or serious lack of mental capacity.
A hero can be unpleasant, or great, or a mix of both - that’s not ‘problematic’ because it’s not about you. a heroine may look nothing like you, and that’s ok because it’s not about you.
Stories are escapism - this doesn’t mean you can’t identify with a character, but most people who are normal identify with a thing a character does. Autists and children want the character to be them. As well as being stupid it’s killing media because you’re not allowed to write complex characters any more, everything’s a self insert with no flaws.

Why would anyone want to roleplay as an elf unless they are an elf? Why would anyone want to roleplay as a playboy pirate gnome unless they are a playboy pirate gnome?

Because I can put myself in the mindspace of the character. i cant do it if the charcter is a woman of if the character has certain traits that I just find disgusting to imagine. I dont want a mc thats a pedo or a faggot or a tranny. If youre a man rp as a woman you are one mental breakdown away from trooning out.

I think Roleplaying and acting are fine to be more invested in relating to a character through looks or such. Watching a movie or reading a book, you enjoy someone else's experience, not try and make your own. RP and acting are more about getting into the mindset. It's still a costume though, and as long as you can relate or imagine in some way you can play anything (between friends, you can't be a Jamacain playing a Mongolian in a film). Note how I said play, not be a woman to your friends.

I would then say money is to blame. Cross dressing is one thing, but medication and surgeries are another. All the institutions that are making money off of trans stuff are keeping this thing going. Whether it be groups like Stonewall or GLAAD or the surgeons and pharma are making bank off of mentally ill people who are not getting proper care. Politicians more often than follow the money. Some will draw the line at children while other don't care.

I'm still interested to see actual data on that. Estrogen injections can get you to Tanner 4, which IIRC has fully developed milk ducts. People say it can't obviously be actual milk as if it's self-evident, but I've yet to see research on either side of the argument on the internet. Granted, haven't looked that hard.
