Considering what I've seen of Anisa, I'd say definitely the second option. Deleting himself would be too easy an out for her, she clearly wants to prolong the suffering as much as possible. She plays the long game. I believe the Froggy situation was killing two birds with one stone for her. It's become clear that Ian never had the strongest psyche to begin with. I think a lot of his channel's previous "energy" was borrowed from the Filthy crew and other online groups he may have participated in (Past Ian smacks of edgy 4chan energy to me but that's just my .02). I don't think he's a total skinwalker, but he's easily impressionable. What we see now has been festering under the surface for years. A shitty dad, a demeaning whore of a partner who is constantly hunting for a crumb of e-clout, growing up poor (doesn't automatically set you up for failure but can start some people off on the wrong foot), living in L.A., the Youtube famous. These things combined over time have twisted his weak brain into pretzels. Current Day Ian has been misled on what "empathy" means and has gaslit himself into believing that he just lacked empathy previously. He might have lacked sympathy, but that is very different. He now mistakes guilt for moral righteousness and empathy, he mistakes disavowal for atonement and growth, he mistakes criticism for trolling, he mistakes a lack of pride as confidence. Completely mentally broken.

Recovery is not impossible but it would require him to move, leave Anisa, stop talking to the Youtube famous, and surround himself with some actual normal people. Unlikely.
