In her members streams she's talked about working on a ton of projects, most of which haven't been announced yet. Also seems to be bouncing back and forth between Japan and America for the past year.

It says a lot that Gura's last 3 appearances were collabs (which others organized) and no solo streams. I guess it's a mix of offline work load and no real need to stream. She's so big that the money keeps flowing through merch and sponsorships without much active streaming.
Speaking of merch: It's still a prototype but the popup parade figure looks great already

Edit so I don't have to doublepost: Aki's delayed birthday just ended. It was the continuation of last years Wizard of Oz musical with solo parts from Aki. It was phenomenal and high quality, everyone should check it out. Aki even sang a full song in english and revealed a new original song at the end. This birthday must have cost her a fortune.
The cast was also massive: Gura, Bae, Anya, Kobo as Munchkins, Polka as Scarecrow, Roboco as Tinman, Koyori and Botan as Lion sisters, Calli as the witch

For what it is worth I had heard that she's a fairly small, frail person who would get sick alot. So I think she might just have health issues and keeps it to herself, when she caught covid it didn't come out until well after the fact.
She never struck me as a grifter or anything so I don't think she's just cruising along for the money but I guess you never know.

Another vtuber departure is confirmed, although being rather low key about it all, Natsumi Moe is doing her final stream tomorrow.
There will be a final stream tomorrow and a last video on YouTube a few days later. After that, she is "going to sleep indefinitely".
Even if she faded out over the years, she was still one of the original EN vtubers who was still going, but the list keeps on getting smaller.
This shouldn't come to any shock for those who still watched her, as she did tell people at the end of the last year she was finishing up in 2023.
