Yeah most challenges have been fine with me, but this one has weird undertones. The guys are spitting water all over the girls, why do I feel like they're getting off to this? Whatever, it's dumb challenge because they decide who wins, again.
A fucked up background of watching Family GuyJet repeating "it's not your fault" to make Letty cry was kind of heavy shit. Takes someone with a fucked up background like he has to know how effective that could be.
It's from Good Will Hunting and I don't think had much impact on Letty's crying.Jet repeating "it's not your fault" to make Letty cry was kind of heavy shit. Takes someone with a fucked up background like he has to know how effective that could be.
It was uncomfortable but keep in mind that both of these girls signed up for something advertised as a "hell house" and can quit at any time. It has to be weird for them because that's the fucking point, and it's funny. The boys are now smelling the girl's breath to see who has the baddest smelling breath. Getting up ALL in their mouths and being gross. Josie is super uncomfortable. Two petite girls in a room full of obnoxious degenerate males feels off, but then again, I am a wimp.
Anyway, after ripping on the girls and telling them how terrible their breath is, at least Jet acts nicer afterwards and tells them that both of their breath doesn't smell bad and his smells worse in a way to try to make the situation less awkward. Still didn't care for this challenge or the last, since, yet again, they pick the winner.
Unfortunately Sam's abusing women humour is not really a schtick and tends to reflect a hatred towards women.I'm honestly a little leary of Sam now. I'm the same age as him and, even if it's deserved to some extent, it's still hard to watch 20 year old women, basically kids, get called fat or verbally abused. The fact that Sam has a hate boner for Letty makes me like him a lot less. I had it on in the background at work for the first week or so but now I just catch the updated on here.
An unfortunate side effect of being funny is it comes with being really cynical. A lot of comedians are very angry people. Sort of a double edged sword.Unfortunately Sam's abusing women humour is not really a schtick and tends to reflect a hatred towards women.
I'm not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that these types of challenges feel different from the rest and feel like they're skirting past "uncomfortable" and getting close to being "too far".It was uncomfortable but keep in mind that both of these girls signed up for something advertised as a "hell house" and can quit at any time. I know I defend the show a lot in here. I swear I'm not a crazy Sam Hyde fanboy or something, I haven't even watched MDE. Maybe I just have lower standards, because I genuinely wouldn't change much at all if I could.

I get what you mean. It was legit hard to watch the spitting one and the bad breath one, and I would have tapped out at that point too. Props to them for putting up with all that, Stockholm Syndrome is real.I'm not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that these types of challenges feel different from the rest and feel like they're skirting past "uncomfortable" and getting close to being "too far".
Just to be clear, I'm not accusing these guys of doing something wrong or that they need to be MeToo'd, just pointing out that these types of challenges really feel a different kind of uncomfortable and it in turn makes me uncomfortable. But like I said, I'm a wimp, I wouldn't last even half a day on fish tank.
The first Sam Hyde bit I watched was the Ted Talk thing, which was funny, but it wasn't until I saw the bit where he sneaks into the art college in a dress and berates the shit out of the students for an hour that I really became a fan. Haven't seen much else of his stuff because I don't want to buy content from his unusable website, but it's clear that he's always pushing boundaries, for better or for worse. Ironically, he's very bitter that he got kicked off of Adult Swim and lost his chance to be mainstream, but not being mainstream is really what lets him do his best work without constraints.Don't worry about being a Sam Hyde fan. They're based. But the contestants didn't sign up for Hell House, they signed up for Fish Tank. That's how it was advertised. It just turned out that most of the contestants found out about the competition through Sam Hydes social media so they had an idea of what they were getting into. Simmons and Mauro were the only two who didn't know who Sam was beforehand and the other contestants just pretended to not know. Jon wasn't really a Sam fan but he had heard of him. Vance, Sylvia and Letty were hardcore fans and Dam worked with Sam before.
I think that's why Sam feels comfortable doing what he's been doing. In his mind they're super fans and they wouldn't turn against him. Sam feels untouchable because he's proven that he is. He keeps getting away with stuff that would ruin almost anyone else.
That said, he's taken his biggest risk ever with this competition and I know there's a huge list of Bergs and Steins lining up to take a crack at him in court. The right lawyer says the right thing to Letty or Josie and there might be a legitimate case against him.
If he's able to come out of Fishtank without any legal issues it would be incredible. There's a reason Rochefort has kept far away from this project. It's insane Sam is taking this risk at the same time the MDE trio finally reunited and while World Peace 2 is in production. There's so much to lose and he just doesn't give a fuck. Good for him I guess.
I think Damiel was a plant, in that he was there to cause chaos/drama, but that idea (like so many others) was quickly abandoned after shit kept falling apart and Damiel kept failing at getting the fish to react or do anything.Yeah Letty is obviously not a plant, anyone who actually thinks that is a retard. I don't even think Damiel was a plant, just someone they found last minute because he knew someone in the crew.
