I'm rather late here, but although John never does anything anyway, saying he's on 'vacation' is probably in his mind an excuse to ignore messages and confrontation about Kickstarter, hoping to buy time 'till it blows over.

More than normal I mean.

The animation is so fucking bad it actually makes me cringe. The part where Minuete is running away from the walking affliction hoodie it looks like she's fucking gliding. Everything is either too loose and floaty or super tight and jerky, there's no in between.

0:12 - you can hear the VA smacking his lips. Who is he, anyway.
0:14 - Terrible Wu Voice Acting.
0:30~0:40 - Wow! look at all this not-gameplay happening! It's almost like an endless cutscene that's only ever broken up by aweful QTEs
0:44 again with the Terrible Wu Voice Acting...

That trailer manages to give away every single plotpoint in the game and if (for some reason) you want to read the text that pops up every now and then, the long period it stays mirrored means you can't really read it until itpops out of the frame again.

2/10 Terrible trailer, would not buy overpriced shitty game.
Any brave Kiwi with Video-editing software willing to make a trailer based on Smutley's playthrough?
I'm excited to see how much the game journo circlejerk will bend over backwards to praise this trash.
Noone gives a shit about Wu. At best, someone will do a "also: this exists" sidemention.

Concise List of Things I liked About the Trailer:

1.
It shows off the improved audio. Normally I bitch about Rev60's audio, but there seems to have been a concerted effort to make some of it less shit. Gunshots are punchier, sound better, and have impact noises. Explosions actually sound good.

2. HOLY ASS NUGGETS A TRAILING EFFECT. It only took two years, but it actually looks good. Brava, Giant Spacekat.

3. Speaking of graphical changes, I like the improved impact effects on most things.

4. Actual reflection on the characters' eyes. Looks good.

5. New Audio. That's a hell of a thing right there and suggests that there's more paths this go-round.

And that's about it. If ever there was proof needed that the Kickstarter revolt has Wu terrified, it's this.

EDIT: Mirrored for your pleasure.

Holiday is one of two solidly voiced characters in the game, and about the only one that isn't automatically an absolute shit because the player can dictate her actions. She has a few responses in-game that got a legitimate chuckle out of me, including the sarcastic "Will you use a bright red font?" towards Chessboard and the scene where she provokes a sperg-out from Crimson 09. It's easy to forget that in a game where we make fun of the game itself so much, that there are characters better than others; Minuete and Amelia are fucking awful.

This looks like the work of a first semester film student, trying to cut a Hollywood-Style trailer for a seminar assignment.

The audio is still cracking, and some of the textures are still blotchy (despite them allegedly being all at 4k x 4k) , Wu is trying to be edgy by adding really fake looking lens flare, there is no depth of field which could have saved some shots. Despite Wu adding a thousand light sources, it looks like there is only one global light source (which is the result if you add too much lights) and the levels still look like something from the N64 area.

Hah. If you read the script she wrote for this trailer back in May, the lines that Wu herself voices are supposed to be Holiday speaking. Not only has she put that terrible music track she composed in the game, she's now voicing some of the lines of her Mary Sue.

This is going to be a complete shit show. Some of the decisions Wu makes show less calculation than an amoeba.

EDIT: I just noticed that picture has an "add tags" section. Someween should add some :epik:
"Brianna Wu"? "Revolution 60"? "John Walker Flynt"?

I believe she was living rent-free with her aunt at the time after getting disowned by her parents, and that's when she was working at GameStop.

John put on a lot of weight since then.

If I was a customer who knew nothing about this game, this trailer is very uninformative. I got something about an American group that works for the President, a derelict weapon they have to stop somehow, and a lady who wants to kill the protagonist for some reason.
