Reasons:It's a meme at this point, and especially on here I've been known to sperg with the best of them about the Linux/Troon associations. But it really IS curious as to why so many troons seem to navigate to Linux like moths to a flame...I can't help but wonder if it's because the typical computer nerd/basement dwellers tend to use it, and now since trooning out is trendy, they're just more visible in that area?
1) Autists tend to be overrepresented amongst troons for a lot of reasons. Autists are also drawn disproportionately to open source software, but that's a symptom of their autism, rather than a cause of their troonery. The same could be said of anime, D&D, or any other autistic pursuit.
2) Open source software, by its nature, encourages visibility of its participants, so nerds of OSS will be more visible by default
3) OSS-related organisations are similar open and visible, and disproportionately inhabited by people who have the time and the wherewithall to put in the effort to be noticed. They suffer the same problem as any sort of community moderation team; they're populated by people who do it for free. Troons love the validation that comes along with being part of these organisations.

I've made this observation in another thread but there's no way that number is even close. It has to be targeted at people who can't think or even do basic math. It's absurd.
Let's just make it 1% for easily grasped calculations. The US population is ~350 million. Are there 3.5 million troons in the US? Mississippi's population is about 3 million. There aren't 30,000 troons in Mississippi. If one wants to argue California offsets the lack of troons in MS, I don't believe there are 400,000 troons in California so no. The quoted stat even claims WORLDWIDE! 80 MILLION troons globally? They want you to believe there are 14 million troons in China?!?!?! 15 million troons in India?!?!?! No? Then where else compensates? Go even lower than their low-end .6 and say .5%. Cut all my estimates above in half and think.
Bullshit! We gotta start calling bullshit on this bullshit.

1) The estimate would need to be based on some survey. Since I doubt they would have controlled properly for the bias in the sample, it is hardly generalizable to the whole population
2) Estimates for very skewed sats are hard to do correctly. Basically, when you are studying something that is more 70-30, it is easier to pin down the more exact estimate. While for stuff that is 99-1 is a lot harder to be accurate.
3) "Being transgender" is meaningless. Look at English census. They had to go to court to define what the questions should be. You have ma'ams that don't want to say they are trans, closeted Aidens who bravely came out as She/They on Tumblr who will say they are trans, and finally the normal normie population that may be just confused by the question.
4) More specific on "Are there 3.5 million troons in the US? " - I imagine the survey would be 16+ or 19+ AND likely less than some age as I don't think they asked 80 yo people. So it would be 3.5 million among something like working age people 16-65.
5) They want you to believe that it is not a social phenomenon, and instead it is equal everywhere in the world. They have not even attempted to prove that. I wouldn't even bring up the numbers, it's like arguing about space teapots.

Although I'd *LOVE* for you to be right, there are at least three I'm aware of in my daughter's junior year at school alone. (edit: I see you excluded age groups in your numbers, but those people are all over 16) Multiply that up and that 1.8% looks low, if anything.

Sorry, the effects of recent school indoctrination do not validate the bullshit numbers. I have no doubt there are a bunch of teenagers being pushed into believing but it isn't organic or real. Kids are especially susceptible once they see it's an easy avenue to endless praise, infinite excuses, special privileges and unearned advancement. It's not sustainable. Children being brainwashed like this should be reason enough to loudly call bullshit on this bullshit.

Thing is, if any of them were to say anything perceived as not supportive... The troon wheels on social media would start spinning and they'd probably end up being let go from the company and giving up what is a potentially a dream job for them.
I don't really blame them. It'd be fascinating to know how many of them really believe the shit they're saying. You see a lot of staff members having to go along with stuff like this and I would guess at least half think it's pathetic.

In the past I would have given Anthony the benefit of the doubt, but I"ve been around too long and have seen too many people go tranny. This trans shit is this generation's "multiple personality disorder" diagnosis. For those unawares, MPD, now called "disassociative identity disorder" is really a disorder not where people have multiple personalities, but they act and believe that they do largely due to iatrogenic (therapy-induced) reasons. With that bit of psychology out of the way, it's not hard to see what is driving this trans shit. Every emotional problem or "being different from other boys" is interpreted as gender dysphoria because that's what the therapy crowd, full of trendy white women, thinks everything is. If you can get people thinking they have other persons inside them, you can convince people of anything.
And in the west we live in a increasingly feminine, very "kindness-based" society where inducing bad feelings at all in another person is tantamount to aggression. The west needs to get its act together or we'll keep failing socially. None of the social justice left has any mentally sound people, they're all human trainwrecks running around the world bringing it closer to their chaotically insane communist vision.
Since anthony is a computer nerd that is a furry he obviously has an online identity somewhere. I bet he's been dramatic and bitchy in the past. LTT being Canadians are even worse than Americans about this and are all about people-pleasing.
Ultimately Anthony is destroying himself, and maybe to some extent LTT, because if they stick a tranny on TV nobody is gonna watch it.
