Yeah for all the shit Obama did no one can deny the man actually understood speaking and charisma and such. He could play along and talk and stand on his feet.
I doesn't help that DeSantis is getting pushed into emulating Trump which is only making his charisma problems worse. It was tolerable when he was the quiet nerd making careful prepared speeches that he wrote beforehand, but trying to push him into Trumpist fibs and body movements is making the issues so much worse.

DeSantis has put together an army of paid shills on Twitter and Facebook to make and distribute "pro DeSantis memes" and they are truly awful and cringe.
DeSantis has virtually no warmth, Charisma, or humanity. Everything about him is stiff, creepy, and maximum uncanny valley.

For me I don't really see the federal government as that important for the long term, state and local elections/politics are going to matter a lot more going forward so at this point 90 percent of my reasoning behind wanting trump in again is that it'd be funny and make people MATI.
Of course, biden winning again would also be really funny and dems will still suffer along with me while having the added humiliation of having to defend their venerated kid sniffing dementia patient taking L after L for 4 more years.

Reminder the AZ Judge unironically claimed that Manicopa was legit because "a protocol existed". That's it. It doesn't matter if it was violated, or if the protocol even works or makes sense. The existence of some sort of procedure proved to the judge the election could never have been frauded.

yeah don't get me wrong I'm not saying "oh lol nothing matters" but just more I think I can find a way to cope with whatever happens. I would vastly prefer trump winning but I'll find ways to cope if/when they fortify things again. Much of my perspective is very much "prepare for the worst" thinking.
As for foreign relations yes good point don't want someone intentionally making everyone hate us in power as biden's handlers are currently doing but I guess my perspective is more along the lines of I'm expecting the federal government to, while maybe not outright collapse, have a serious reduction in prominence either from people dismantling it and continuing to gain state and local powers after the excesses of the last few decades, or simply under its own bullshit the way the USSR did.

I think that in the end, the 2020's will go down in history as being just a really shitty decade, similar to how the 1970's is viewed. Shitty declining culture, collapsing economy, foreign policy failures, etc.
Since that is the case, I think I might prefer that the Democrats stay in the White House and that the Cultural Left stay in charge of mainstream culture. It will hurt us in the short term, but better to be able to blame the whole shitshow on them rather than give them the option to blame the failures on President Trump/DeSantis. Or maybe that is all just a huge cope on my part.
