Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm wondering about the plushes themselves now. I know plenty have pointed to them being an obvious sign of his furry inclinations but I don't think they are all just random toys he's bought from stores or amazon I think if you looked into the brands several of them would be custom ones from furfags. The purple fox stands out the most there and seems like it'd be some made up 'species'.
Custom ones with holes in the bottom...

Thread on LTT forum:

Goodbye Anthony, Welcome Emily!

Literally the first reply is a complaint about using the deadname. There is nothing that can make these people happy

A brave souls suggest: why don't we follow the community guidelines that say "no politics"?
[The OP is right, the LTT forum bans political discussion of any kind]

I think the whole convo is funny, so for my own sake, instead of taking dozens of screenshots, I will just copy the text. Formatting is what it is
I get that the forum and the company want to be inclusive, but I strongly recommend the forum enforce a strict no-politics policy that includes LGBTQ topics. LGBTQ, like other political topics, has the potential to create division in the community. LTT needs to stick with tech. That's my suggestion.

I have been on this forum since 2019, 1700+ posts and 120+ solved. Never came across any threads regarding LGBTQ, politics or similar ( Good or bad ) , except this one.
Here's one right here. https://linustechtips.com/topic/1503636-lgbtqia-friendly-mass-fortnite-group-discord/
Here's the thread about Anthony/Emily coming out as trans. That has nothing to do with tech. I saw someone requesting LGBTQ merch in another thread. I have seen a few others too. With the announcement of one of the LMG staff going trans, I think it will encourage more too.

I dont see that as a negative if its kept civil and respectful from all parties, mods will shut down the bad threads.
I feel like this Forum is quite a nice bunch of whoever, we are here for technology, hardware and similar. This aint Reddit, thankfully

Perhaps don't go to those threads then? I have no interest in anyone's sexual appetites either, hetero, homo or whatever the newest lingo is (I am pretty old, so not in touch with the "now" lingo) but I also don't go into posts I think will have anything like this in it.
I don't like public displays of anything on the edge (think parades or public tv) but I also believe in the privacy of ones home/interests/nonpublic arena.

Provided everything is kept professional there’s no inherent problem with topics with subtopics like this.
Shit flinging in any context is what causes problems and that can happen anywhere with any topic.
Much like any forum ever in the history of forums, narrowing your conversational scope dramatically will kill a forum. Every forum has an off-topic for this reason, it keeps your users engaged with primary content and secondary content.
So while we can have discussions on computer technology, over in the off topic sections you can talk about cars, guns, work, legos, whatever. This applies to primary content topics with secondary content subtopics as well.
You can have a thread about computer parts, and then subcategorize it around 𝒢𝒶𝓎 𝒸𝑜𝓂𝓅𝓊𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓅𝒶𝓇𝓉𝓈

Those threads shouldn't exist in the first place. If someone created an anti-LGBTQ thread, that thread wouldn't last 1 hot minute. Pro-LGBTQ threads should be treated the same way.

Encouraging the mods to keep Linus TECH Tips about TECH will not kill this form. You can discuss tech without trying to cram LGBTQ into it

Well, anti-LGBTQ threads would have basically nothing to do with tech so, yeah, I can see why they would be taken down by your own very criteria.
The two posts you mention, one is about a game and the other is about an LTT staffer coming out as trans.

There are other threads about other topics than can be considered political even if they arent all over the off topic section. Without removing those as well, i think its rather targeted at your personal opinion/something you have a problem with. A person asking for pride merch is not the same as the forums being 'crammed with LGBTQ' stuff as youre suggesting, nor is a thread in a LFG for people who are pronoun friendly. I do believe there is a point where a line could be crossed where it becomes too much of a focus, but at least from what threads you showed, and my own site experience, there is nothing even close to that line. The welcome to Emily thread is more than a fair thread to (re)introduce a member of the team as well.
These are all things posted in parts of the forum specifically geared towards personal opinion and thoughts. If the graphics card section starts to be filled with posts about X state or country's new law regarding LGBTQ policy, then I'd agree with you, but thats not the case.

There are some topics that shouldn't be discussed even in an Off-Topic section of the forum because they are so divisive.

You "both sides" people are exhausting.

[A/N: replying to above comment] Which ones? The ones who expect all people or groups of people to be treated fairly and equally?

someone coming out as trans is not political.
while i don't fully understand people coming out as trans and it seems alien to me (more due to coming from a small rural town in ireland with no exposure to it or anything similar) they aren't hurting you or anyone else so it's none of your concern.

One group is congratulating a valued LMG member for coming out and the other wishes they were dead. If you equate those mentally then you're kinda exposing yourself as falling in the latter camp.

OP said he doesnt want to see LGBTQ content, said nothing of ill will towards the group or a person directly, and youve called him exhausting(lol) and now attribute/imply both him and robot of being part of a group wishing death when using the words equally and fairly. Is that correct?

Asking the forum not to become a political place seems to be the request here which is not wishing people to be dead.
This seems to be a cognitive distortion of thinking things are black and white extremes. https://psychcentral.com/health/how-does-black-and-white-thinking-impact-us

[Replying to:someone coming out as trans is not political. ]saying something doesn't make it true.
A quote from reintroduction video, "I try not to push My Views too hard on social media".

gay and trans rights are not political, it's basic human decency.
170 years ago it was "political" to be against using black slaves
take a look in the mirror and sort your life out instead of being annoyed with everyone else.

Just because you consider something basic decency doesn't make it not political. Human rights are political. I haven't shared my opinions on anything other than the rules of the forum pertaining to politics which I loath. Keep this a safe space for people who hate politics and love tech.

not being a dick isn't political. your opinion on the matter is irrelevant in the bigger picture so simply don't open threads you think might invade your "safe space"

Yikes. Some of these comments are very telling of the type of people you are, and I hope one day you will be blessed with the gift of compassion.

Being gay or trans is not inherently political, people like you and OP make it so. If you can't handle the existence of said people on your precious little safe space, you're probably best off finding another one. 4chan might be welcoming for someone of your thinking

Tolerance and inclusivity are not virtues to strive for?

that's because generalized hate is considered bad vs being polite. Being pro is considered doing the bare minimum to be a decent human which is encouraged by the forum

TLDR: LGBTQ rights are political but are also not political, they are confused themselves. One thing, though, they can agree on: it must be allowed to express the view that TWAW and any opposing view should be banned.

Furry mod to the rescue! Corpo-speak for: we are scared, please don't make this harder for us.

Only stopping in to say this fat disgusting mongoloid prevented me from watching these videos because he was so swollen and fat and gross. Not shocking he trooned out, the incel/furry troon pipeline is very real.

Tech connections love of flannel suit jackets and actually leaving the house to drive his electric car on real world road trips makes me think a NO on him trooning out.

That said we also need to keep an eye on Louis Rossman and LGR.....
Louis is the last person I would expect to troon out. He's fit, he's driven, he a self-starter who consistently works hard to get what he wants in life. He is a shining example of a successful man. You know, the exact opposite of basically all troons. The only way that I could see it happening is if he is secretly a pornsick weirdo in private, but he really doesn't strike me as that kind of guy at all.
Louis Rossmann made an account here and wasn't afraid of talking to people in his thread, I think it's safe to say he's enough of an adult to not end up trooning out.
Really? What's his account?

Unrelated to the tranny drama, but apparently Linus and his wife bought dangerous laser equipment for their home on the recomendation of one of their moron employees:
Power level on this, but laser safety and ventilation is no joke. They are only playing with a 15W laser right now probably with a beam on the visible light spectrum, but still you can sustain eye damage before the blink reflex kicks in. Indirect Laser refraction is the number 1 cause of damage to the eyes from lasers, usually from viewing a beam indirectly from the side while cutting.
Yeah, that's the kind of laser you want to go nowhere near. Professional setups enclose the entire assembly to block every last bit of light out, because even if it doesn't look very intensive, these things are generally extremely poorly filtered and will blast your retinas with UV. 15W is plenty to do permanent damage in just seconds, and because the light doing the damage is out of the visual spectrum you won't even be able to tell that it's actively blinding you. And no, just wearing safety goggles isn't enough because the light will happily reflect off of everything else in the room to find its way into your eyes. I can't call these things death traps because it's "just" blindness, not death, but I don't know another word in English that conveys just how dangerous these things are. If my employee suggested I buy one I'd assume he's trying to get me maimed so he can take over.

I am not surprised in the slightest that this recommendation came from Jake, though. This is the same guy who set up their ZFS storage server, and neglected to do any kind of automated scrub or error reporting for years, even though these are basic components of a file server and included in just about every "ZFS for dummies" tutorial there is. I also suspect he's the one responsible for sexually harassing the women who spoke out about working at LMG, you can tell he's a massive incel creep just by looking at him.
"It costs nothing to afford Emily an ounce of respect"
Yeah but Anthony doesn't even respect his own body.
It would cost me my dignity.
Tech connections love of flannel suit jackets and actually leaving the house to drive his electric car on real world road trips makes me think a NO on him trooning out.
Lots of closet troons love flannel, the pattern helps hide their moobs.

I actually recognize the purple fox. That one was an official World of Warcraft themed item that Blizzard sold a number of years ago based on one of the in-game pets.

I got perma'd from reddit for 1 single post saying anthony is still a man. Was 3 days earlier then upgraded to a perma. I fucking hate reddit.
Oh, that's nothing. I got permabanned for spelling Odessa correctly. It's a shame that for some niche subjects reddit really is the only forum available, but you have to always walk on eggshells because of the neurotic idiots in charge.

Going through the WAN Show, they mention receiving the Bilibili equivalent of the Youtube milestone play button, and Chyna has a no tranny agenda. By grace of communists, they might have to keep Tranthony from showing up on episodes or do the most literally 41% thing and keep his name Anthony in the translated videos.
Anthony's continual shift towards trying to dress like a 'woman' will light up the Chinaman's trannydar like a control center sensing a reactor meltdown. If a significant portion of their audience actually does exist over there they will have to start editing Anthony out of content as much as possible or take the much easier route of just featuring him less slowly. I don't think they're gonna go Mr. Beast on this and 'part ways' with him but it is a bad idea to keep him around. Not sure if LTT is actually smart enough to realize that.

Reactions: Markass the Worst
Forgive me if this was mentioned earlier, but does anyone else find it odd that for his new name, Anthony through sheer coincidence, happened to pick the same as one of the few female employees at LMG? This could be some weird AGP thing where Anthony is going to slowly transform into Emily. So it's started with stealing her name, but he'll gradually start dressing the same as her, crudely trying to mimic her behaviours and the way she speaks. Could be a consent accident at the LMG offices on the horizon.

Dude, it's because "Emily" sounds more similarly to "Anthony," with the same number of syllables. Actually I have to give him props for that, he didn't pick "Jasmine" or some whorish stripper name these troons often settle on.
