When are they going to do casting for season 2? PL but: I personally know someone in real life that would be perfect for this shit. A loveable but super gross hoarder who is also huge loud mouth and desperate for money. I would die laughing if he went on the show
Anyway, I hope in season 2 they don't let the audience decide who wins challenges anymore. Let the audience decide challenges or let them vote just for fun, the audience voting for whoever they simp for the hardest takes all of the fun out of the show. I also hope they have way more fish bucks challenges and have consistent rules that they actually follow so the fish don't lose motivation to compete. Last, maybe don't hire legit austists like Jon. As much as I liked Jon's content, he truthfully shouldn't have been on there. He's too autistic and for all the funny things he did, he almost ruined the show multiple times.

I just hope next season they don't cast as many boring people as they did this season, and have a lot clearer elimination challenges other than Jet and Sam just choosing fan favorites.
The Josie simping taught me a lot about zoomer males, which was an interesting experience. I used to think actresses like Zendaya were just promoted by Hollywood as hot, but after watching a bunch of neckbeards go gaga over ugly non-white Josie, I now have no hope for that generation.

Yeah, when you put it that way. I think it was more or less decided by then that Letty deserved second-or-first place, and that the only other person deserving of a shot at first place had to really bust to get there. Sam and Jet called the walking challenge "the fake-ass immunity challenge" before it started - it was essentially the challenge that decided third place because Letty was going to be preserved by the 3-part elimination challenge come hell or high water, it seemed. They even must have broken it into three parts so that they could very surgically put down whoever it was that needed to go without any random chance screwing Letty over.
I think if Vance had somehow overcome the girlfriend gaslighting, or Letty had had a mental breakdown over Jon even though she had overcome that sort of reaction weeks ago, or if Vance had grabbed Queso from the basement and beheaded it, the final round would have been like "You win if your name starts with N and you have a stalker named Jeremy." Or maybe they would have to concede by then that Vance had hitherto unappreciated qualities that meant Letty didn't deserve the "Sam's Favorite Fish" award.
But I think by the time Sam came around and talked to Vance and Josie about how they couldn't go to the finals together, he had definitely decided Letty should place. I think that was the same night that Frank came by for the second time and basically trapped Letty in her room and some farmers said Sam seemed mad about that - I think it must have been by then that Sam didn't want Frank to make Letty quit the house of her own volition and was mad that Frank was trying to make that happen because Letty appeared like an easy target. Sam had announced before he came upstairs that that would be the night they did the "grossest thing" challenge but he never actually put that into motion - I think he saw Frank making a misplay and decided they needed to shave Vance to get the dogpile off of his first-or-second place choice.

I've been busy and wasn't really able to watch much for the past week, but what a great ending. I think everyone will be happy with how this all turned out. I expect season 2 will be way better too. Cheers bros

One of the main things I hope they fix for season 2 is the technical issues with the fishtank site. There were dozens of times where the camera just froze and forced you to refresh. It was happening during the finale and was really annoying,. It breaks immersion and I'm sure makes clipping things way harder.
Another thing is I hope they don't coddle a future fish that is cute or well liked like they did with Josie. The way she just got skipped over by Frank was really annoying.

Nathen Mazri (the GarfieldEats guy) should be a guest host/freeloader for season 2 - probably one of the strangest lolcows on the Farms, and desperate enough for fame to do the show if asked. His bizarre rants about Garfield, Arabic politics, and religion would be really entertaining and so would his constant attempts to promote his shitty businesses. I can't think of anything that would make him a liability. He is definitely too annoying to be a full time fish, but having him on for a few days just to fuck with the contestants would be kino. They wouldn't even have to give him any direction, just tell him he gets to decide on and run a day of activities, and then wait for content.
Also, how do season pass holders get the filmed version? I thought I heard Jet say it would be shipped to us, but I don't remember being asked to type in an address. What format will the video be in? Just wondering because I didn't catch the details on that.

This was super kino. I wasn't a religious watcher but it's a lot of fun catching something crazy happening live.
As a longtime fan of MDE, it's really great to have watched Sam reach new a new peak after taking the hard fall with Adult Swim being jewish. Really hopeful that season 2 is bigger and better from all the lessons learned here, and that World Peace 2 is also great. This project really took a lot of balls and creativity to launch, and it's just great to see creators who think outside of the box to do something new get recognized for it.
I think Sam giving a big 2nd place reward, increasing the 1st place reward, and giving Jet the opportunity to run this demonstrates that he's a genuinely generous guy as many people have said about him. You can also tell that he's elevated Nick and Joeyy too, so I have a lot of respect for the guy. People like icuckz who try to find people like Chris to use up for his own gain and then discard like trash, it's a wonderful dichotomy to see him fail and humiliate himself continuously while Sam is succeeding and taking his crew with him. MDE never dies.

The ending was great. I love every last one of you motherfuckers. This thread not only made discussion easy and interesting, but made the entirety of Fishtank a better viewing experience. Looking forward to season 2 so we can once again BTFO every other place that attempts to discuss FT.

Not surprised to see Josie win. It seems like they liked Letty the most, but they went with the fan favorite.
However, I think Jet made a huge mistake letting on that Letty was playing up the villain with their approval. I kinda suspected, what with him get let out of the house to film World Peace 2, that Vance was playing up the villain on behalf of the show. If so, essentially for the last 11 days or so of the Tank, it was the winner and two losers working with the show runners to create drama/content. Vance was either bad at it(though from the start I always felt like he was playing the archetype of the two faced schemer) or I'm just a psychopath. That's almost 1/3 of the entire run essentially being stretching this out.

Twitter wasn't too horrible for very brief discussions but reading the /tv/ threads before Kiwi got back online made me want to punch a hole in my wall like an autistic child off his meds. Just the lowest IQ retarded shit imaginable. They take every single random rumor at total face value and then it's repeated over and over and over. And that's when there isn't CP being spammed in the thread because some severely mentally ill person with a million VPN's hates Sam and is angry about his show having a thread. Anonymity brings out the very worst in people.

After letting the ending sit for a bit (and while I don't agree with giving Josie the 'win') I'm satisfied with it.
Both girls got carried to the finale by completly opposite methods, one by representing the HELLHOUSE aspect of the show and the other by becoming a simp magnet, and while I definitely prefer one method over the other I'm not faulting the girls for it, I'll instead blame the producers for casting them in their respective roles.
At the end both girls are winners.
