I think people here told him to basically do Tuesday-Thursday streams so he didn't get burnt out on law shit. If he wanted to do personality streams about geek bullshit then that's him building his brand. The issue is that he acted like a Prima Donna with some of his fan base telling him the sex stuff wasn't funny and that the futa bullshit is only funny to people who are co-hosts not interviewees.

He seemed to realize that lawtube as a whole was feast and then famine. Big cases that interest the public at large only happen so often. He probably could've done monthly case coverage to tread water if nothing big came up in the legal/ political sphere. Him focusing on e-celeb lawsuits also probably could've helped him, but instead he went the Jack Murphy route.

The daily stream coverage for big trials is something Nick probably could've adapted to. Talk to your wife about the income you're likely to get, coordinate with someone else to take breaks, get guests on who have specialized info on certain aspects of the law/ insight into a part of the case. Exactly, in the ideal world Nick would have realised that he is veering dangerously into Lolcow territory and straighten out his act (in more ways than one) and gone back on track but instead he got too stubborn and egotistical and now he's become the lolcow people have warned he'd be if he kept it up. He built much of his original audience on that fact that those long hours were boring and needed something to fill them. An internet friend that stayed up with you was nice. Nick even admitted that his goal once was to make so much content, you wouldn't be able to watch it all. I doubt that this is his aim anymore, because now he keep everything except the Friday shows shorter than 4 hours.

My theory is that he thought he could just scale his business income linearly. He was having fun doing what he was doing, and thought that doing it longer was no issue. Instead, he hit the point where growing bigger meant changing his approach to business management (hiring staff and putting in more work to keep growing) and he didn't want to do it.

I used to think it was a principled stance that 'everyone deserves fair representation' but in hindsight it looks a lot more like 'not every criminal is that bad'.
