As I said when @Twitter Is Cancer was reporting Nick's donation pages, the primary reason I dislike it is that people actively trying to fuck with him interferes with my ability to laugh at Rekieta fucking with himself. Same idea as the people who tried to gaslight Ralph into falsely thinking his wife's ex was releasing revenge porn. It's not funny, it's just stupid. It's trying to provoke a reaction so you can be all giddy: "[X] responded to the thing I did!!!"

I have never contacted Nick or any cow specifically. I do not even think about them outside this thread. Looking back at the Discord and LOCALS panic over being doxxed to death makes me laugh because these people are incapable of realising that this is not remotely real life, nor does it affect then in any way.

I cannot recall anyone in the chat whose life changed in any significant manner because we are talking about them. I am content to laugh and be ignored. Them ignoring the logger has started a few of them back up, and it entertains me to watch how it progresses.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank someone for their excellent service earlier on in this thread. I looked forward to seeing a notification that they posted every day because it always meant I was about to laugh.

Indeed. If Mandy_K has a problem with it, she needs to sort it out with Nick because taking down Elissa's video won't prevent Nick from talking about her this way again.

Mandy's method of problem-solving (take down Elissa's video, but leave Nick's stream up) implies that she is permissive of Nick speaking about her that way in front of his audience, but not permissive with Elissa reporting on it in front of her audience. Either that, or Mandy is special enough to Nick for him to remove someone else's content, but not special enough for Nick to remove his own.

Also, if Mandy is trying to protect her image, one wonders how she really sees herself in all of this given her actions and the nature of her association with Nick (and who Nick has proven himself to be).

Just at a casual glance it doesn't look like a very solid case. Courts don't generally like anticompetitive trade practices that keep someone from doing their job. They're rarely enforced out of situations like where a lawyer sells his entire practice to someone else, claiming to be retiring, and then starts poaching clients from them.

Even there they're generally fairly strictly limited by time and geography.

I'd like to know the contents of the contract but I don't see this ultimately succeeding, although if they somehow manage to get an injunction out of it, that will indicate the court considers there to be something actually there.

I haven't really looked into it deeply, but "we fired you and now we're suing you to keep you from being allowed to have a job" is not exactly a compelling argument in most cases.

If O'Keefe was still getting paid and charging expenses to Veritas while suspended, it's a bit dodgy to start up his own competing company and spend his time on that. The injunction seems like a stretch, but at a minimum I would expect Veritas to get some of their money back.

I assumed he wouldn't do what he promised because that's so often the case. So far that still remains the safest bet.
