Disaster Human Rights Campaign declares a national state of emergency for LGBTQ+ people - And now for today's whitepill.

For the first time in its four-decade history, America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization has declared a national state of emergency for members of the LGBTQ+ community, the Human Rights Campaign said Tuesday. “LGBTQ+ Americans are living in a state of emergency. The multiplying threats facing millions in our community are not just perceived – they are real, tangible and dangerous,” the group’s president, Kelley Robinson, said. “In many cases they are resulting in violence against LGBTQ+ people, forcing families to uproot their lives and flee their homes in search of safer states, and triggering a tidal wave of increased homophobia and transphobia that puts the safety of each and every one of us at risk.”

Alongside the emergency declaration, the group will release a digital guidebook, including health and safety resources, a summary of state-by-state laws, “know your rights” information and resources designed to support LGBTQ+ travelers and those living in hostile states, it said. The historic announcement – just a few days into Pride Month – follows “an unprecedented wave of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in 2023,” according to the Human Rights Campaign, as violence against LGBTQ people continues and the community’s rights have become a flashpoint in the 2024 election. Years after 49 people were killed at the Pulse gay nightclub in Florida, Club Q in Colorado in November became the site of a massacre at a beloved LGBTQ “safe space.” And the Human Rights Campaign just last month issued an updated travel notice for Florida, outlining potential impacts of six bills recently passed there, many already signed by GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican contender for president who’s championed “don’t say gay” and pronoun bills.

Across US state legislatures, at least 417 anti-LGBTQ bills were introduced in roughly the first quarter of 2023 – a new record and twice the number of such bills introduced all of last year, according to American Civil Liberties Union data. The number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills signed into law so far this year is also more than double last year’s tally, which had been the highest on record, the Human Rights Campaign said. They include pronoun refusal laws, forced student outing laws, anti-drag bans and “don’t say LGBTQ+” laws. Meanwhile, the US Supreme Court is poised to issue an opinion in a case over whether a business can deny services to LGBTQ customers. But even as Human Rights Campaign trumpets warnings, the group insists it will not back down from any attempts to stymie the community: “LGBTQ+ people nationwide will not be erased – not now, not ever,” the group said.

Lol cry harder, faggots. All we asked in return for our "tolerance" was to leave our children the fuck alone. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price.

Consider the following: LGBT-whatevers in the Education System are a major reason those numbers are so high, along with your standard array of Hot for Teacher incidences.
more like school workers are all mandated reporters and eventually a school pedo is gonna be discovered by someone not about that shit and report them

Just reported chomos. Part of the problem with religious pedos is the extent to which they circle the wagons around them, and in some cases actively promote it like with the FLDS and some fundie talking heads (like the duck dynasty child marriage guy and Matt Walsh).

Neither gays nor public schools have the funding to shield pedos to the same extent as the catholic church even if they wanted to.
Brah, there's been school districts that have admitted to shuffling teachers that were accused to touching students to other schools in order to shield the pedos. The article was even posted here a few days ago.

You mean an article from a conservative propaganda rag?

I don't doubt there are school districts mishandling pedos, but until they shield pedos for literal decades and (probably) murder a victim to keep her quiet, they don't come anywhere close to the level it's been done in the catholic church.

There's a reason the Catholic pedos who do get busted are always old-ass men that have been allowed to rape kids for decades.

Also why conservative religious types start crying about alphabet people/public school teachers/etc being pedos whenever something is brewing that might make normies aware of how up to their eyeballs in noncery they are.

And then they get moved to a different school instead of fired.

And then the supreme court defends them.
And then, APPARENTLY JUST RIGHT NOW.
Bypasses state law and makes it a federal law that banning sex change surgeries is illegal.

And then the president names a national holiday for everyone involved.

You really do not get there is no comparison at all. You fucking retarded faggot. Who gives a shit what some retard at the vatican says or does.

If a grown-ass adult wants to get a sex change, it's fucking retarded and unconstitutional to ban that.

Wish the supreme Court would get their shit together in other aspects.

You'd think Americans would hate the catholic church and evangelicals way more if that was the case
Is having a priest laying down biting the curb alongside you really all you need to be satisfied?

What a godawful tell when the one and only defense of child molestation the alphabet is capable of making is whataboutism lol.

And nothing of value was lost. Faggot-enablement has only led to disaster. Didn't work out for Weimar, definitely not working out for the West.

Virtually nothing that the fag movement asked for was reasonable or good, and the vast majority of people knew that. Even commiefornia rejected it, they only got it passed through via a combination of browbeating and activist judges.

They even had a fucking guidebook on it. Within said guidebook, they actually had to tell fags to disavow pedophile advocacy groups. Only natural that the mask would slip, especially after 2015.

Anyone who thinks this started with troons has not been paying attention. Fags have been browbeating society since the 70s.

Especially for ideological reasons. Even students have been covered up, like that one crossdressing degenerate who sodomized a girl in the bathroom, whose father was smeared at a school meeting because he had the audacity to be angry about it.

Because the law isn't about blocking sex changes for adults, you dumb, disingenuous twat.

It's about blocking sex changes for children.

Fags when I was young:
>fags ostracized or beaten up
>general sentiment from society towards them was disgust
>unable to publicly announce their faggotry without backlash

Fags in current year:
>calling someone a faggot is a literal hate crime
>praised and pandered to by society
>cannot stop publicly announcing their faggotry
>support for faggotry is all but mandated

I'm really not seeing the emergency here.

I have met people in my field of work in my state that were known as gay since the mid 1990s.

They have stories about their lockers being vandalized, people refusing to partner with them, threats about not responding to their calls for assistance, and threated about getting their ass kicked.

Now I have people at my office trying to set me up with their brother or asking about my dating life.

Once these people back off, live like everyone else, and leave the kids alone, things will settle down. At the present rate the backlash will only increase, and these people are bringing it all on themselves.

These people decided to explicitly tie their sexuality to their politics. That's fine, except when the pendulum swings back against the politics, it now does the same with your sexuality.

Don't think I'm breaking new ground on this, but the thing that always gets me with the talking points about "anti-LGBTQ+" laws is that when you look at what the laws are actually about, they're always pretty much the same: stopping kids from having medical malpractice performed on them and stopping biological men from competing against women in sports. A few things that overeach like banning drag shows altogether are sure to get struck down by courts, but virtuallly everything in these laws are completely irrelevant to the vast majority of the gay population. The press, with its dishonesty, really is scum.

I'm not a catholic but I did go to public school. I'll just speak to my own experiences, of which there are 3.

My stepbrother was the principal of a high school and he was tenured. A girl came to him and claimed one of the star football players raped her in a stairwell at school. He didn't report the rape because he didn't want to hurt the football team. When the police investigated and found out the claims were true, it became public knowledge that my stepbrother didn't report the rape. The school board didn't plan on punishing him at all, but there was a big public outcry from locals so the board relocated him to a higher paying job at the county level where he didn't have to deal with kids.

My middle school art teacher was also tenured. He had been teaching there since the 1960s and was my Dad's art teacher when he was young. He had been accused of sexually assaulting dozens of girls between the ages of 13-15 going all the way back to the 70s. The board was aware of all the accusations but never did anything. A local journalist found out about the accusations from a FOIA request and contacted the county for comment. Less than 24 hours later, said teacher was given his full retirement and he moved out of state.

3rd instance was a high school music teacher that was not tenured. He was kicking a girl out of class for breaking the dress code. As she was screaming at him to go fuck himself, he said "nobody wants to see your tits hanging out." He was put in administrative leave that day and fired by the end of the week. I doubt it had anything to do with it but he was very openly religious.

The requirement to report and reporting aren't the same thing. You can see a lot of parallels between that behavior and now where trans students are being protected by entire school boards after being accused of multiple sexual assaults and violent beatings to teenage girls.

Do you even know what the bans are about? What is wrong with making people wait until they're 18 to make life-altering and irreversible decisions about their bodies?

Gunna show us where in the constitution it says this yet or is this another one of your histrionic bitching trying to miss the point on purpose cuz my parents and uncle loved me the wrong way woe is me and shit and im such an autistic femboss guise listen to me teeeheee.

This has always been the problem with you faggots, you want everyone to do everything for you.

Pretty much this: apparently we're doing collective responsibility now, given the way the last 12 years has gone, so failure to tardwrangle the advocacy orgs (which are primarily responsible for coddling trannies) by the community is blowing back, hard.

Remember, in the mid-2000s all the huffing and puffing about slippery slopes and pedophiles sounded insane for lack of any real evidence to prove it, so that rhetoric went nowhere; this built up trust and goodwill with the normies towards the gays.

Trannies said "hold this keg", abused the fuck out of that trust and goodwill over about 12 years of fucking over every single person or community they touch as a community, and in basically 2 years since the normies started learning about these machinations, it's all snapped back like a rubber band.

When people wonder where the massive push for tranny acceptance came from, so suddenly and seemingly out of the blue, I believe the answer is probably that, when the LGB were literally given everything that they asked for, the advocacy orgs, NGO's and lobbiests panicked.
Suddenly they had no purpose any more, and that was an obvious threat to their very lucrative funding. They desperately needed a new cause and voila, the T's put up their hand and demanded that true equality could not be achieved until everyone was willing to suck a feminine penis. The advocacy orgs breathed a sigh of relief that a new frontier to fight had opened up and the funding would continue to flow, and so here we are. Its a 'state of emergency!' you guys, keep the dollars flowing!
