If I am to remember correctly: Getting into Furality is cheap and costs $15 though if I recall there more expensive tiers, with one going into the triple digits. So odd that this person can afford the time and money to not only go to a VR Furry Convention and be lucky enough to get a booth, but wearing a certain hoodie of some generic looking Anime character gets their whole family to attack them after this person had allegedly been arrested not once, but twice and having the very low luck of being harmed in both instances.

This isn't just a furry thing, but I am really getting sick of all of these "indie devs" who are making the most low tier and low skill content acting like they are actual game devs. Slight PL, but as someone who actually been a software engineer on AAA games these people just drive me nuts. They don't know how to code. They don't even use a half decent engine like Unreal or Unity which are like easy mode compared to what you had to go through to actually try and build a game yourself a decade ago. I mean with blueprints in Unreal you don't even need to know how to code and you actually get some real power. But no, go with the most easy mode engine that only lets you do the most basic stuff and just hope you don't try and cram too much stuff on the screen because then you'll just be screwed with no way of writing any sort of optimization. And you know what, I'd even by find with that, but then don't try and be like, "I'm a game dev I'm part of your club." These people need to fuck off because there is world of difference between a game dev who actually knows their shit and these scum. Like no wonder they are making a shmup, it's the only thing those type of engines can do half decently because they don't require anything complex. I would still say that it would be infinitely better for them to do it using something else if anything because they would then get to develop real skills. You don't have to build a big established engine like previously mentioned, if all you're doing is 2d just use SDL and build one from scratch (Unreal and Unity are actually very bloated and kind of have terrible 2d support so this actually how I would personally go about it, but on the other hand, I actually know what I'm doing).
