You may be right, and I won't claim to have good hard numbers to support me, but I suspect you're overestimating the impact of the network effects of detractor content.
I don't think I'm overestimating - Nick's issues are in the Internet ether whether they're from active critics, fans, former fans, or just adjacent in the discussion. Consider views over time. (Bold for what I'm adding.)
- Elissa's regular Nick indicting clips often reach 3K+.
- Clairebere's original stream is down but Elissa's clip of it got 8.7K views. Let's assume Claire had 5K views (I recall it having 10K but I'm being conservative here). So that's around 14K put together.
- MATI views are hard to track bc Null often takes down the streams and/or the archiver re-uploads. (Also what's the other platform Null streams to? I don't even know.) Roughly, it seems like 20K is not an exaggeration for overall viewership based on the archiver's #s. Accusations of noseguarding aside, Null's definitely covered Nick's lowcow moments.
So... that's roughly 35K people with a lot of overlap - let's call the overlap 30%. So roughly 24.5K people know about Nick's messes. And these people are likely on more than 1 platform - Kiwi, Twitter, YT, Rumble, Discord, etc. - spreading the news. Again, for sure it's Nick's own behavior that's caused the fall in his viewership/Rumblerants/Superchats but I'd argue that it's the critics (Elissa, Himedall, Null, Claire - particularly) who have amplified that trend.
Don't forget the time he called out his kids for being killjoys that suck up all his time so he can't spend more time having homoerotic sex.
Great point. Tbh, that was the secondary trigger for me. His on-and-off distain for his family has been gross. When I (very early - last Aug?) called him out on the fact that his kids will see all of his porn/anal/sex toy antics, he got super pissed with "THEY'LL KNOW I LOVE TO FUCK THEIR MOTHER! GOOD!" Cool cool. They'll also know that he wants to fuck Mandy and, possibly, swing.
I'm not saying he would or wouldn't show up but listing him either way seems dishonest to me, dude had a stroke not too long ago, I don't even know if he ever returned to his own show.
Hoeg has returned with the story of his stroke (it's very moving, actually - his wife is there) over several vids. He's still having challenges with his thoughts catching up with his words so it's unclear if he'll ever return in original form.
Also, people seem to be forgetting the Rekieta vs Hoeg dust ups. 2 IIRC. He'll never be on Nick's show again. Don't quote me but it goes something like this:
- When Nick was banned from YT Hoeg said something like 'does it surprise anyone that his words would would catch up to him?' Nick's fans lost their minds with speculation (maybe accurate?) that the remaining LawTubers wanted the ban to be permanent so they could capture those subs.
- After Alyte's (Bytes) wedding last August when Mindset and Nick went nuts about Alyte's husband insisting on good behavior, Nick quoted Hoeg (I think it was verified) as saying something like 'Nick has said negative stuff about me to other LawTubers' - implying that Nick was a two-faced jerk
