There are echoes here of local councils in the UK willfully misusing anti-terrorism legislation to catch low-level offenders. The difference in this case being that Farrow hasn't done anything wrong, but is being subjected to terms and restrictions that are reserved as an extreme measure for serious repeat offenders.

The aim in this case seems to me to usurp the authority of the courts by establishing guilt before a trial, and then to orchestrate the legal proceedings in such a manner that a fair hearing is impossible. It is a grotesque perversion of justice by an organisation whose remit is to uphold the law.

I wonder whether Surrey Police are acting unilaterally, or if persons or organisations outside the force are applying pressure.

I also wonder how many others, who are less vocal, and have less online presence than Farrow, have been silenced in this manner.

A rapist might get violent and the authorities can’t be asked to put themselves in harms way to stop a violent criminal. Much better use of time to violate a nonviolent woman’s rights because she was mean. No one has to be hurt this way.
