The Caroline Farrow, Adrian Harrop, and Anthony George Halliday / Stephanie Hayden Megathread

I disagree. I've written about this before, but I firmly hold the belief that Britannia, both as a culture and a nation, has been cucked on a fundamental level since their near decimation during WW2. The cultural sense of British pride and might was destroyed when Hitler overran them, and nearly succeeded, until they went hats in hand to the US and the remaining French resistance begging for help. Chamberlain nearly let Hitler do it too, in the name of appeasement. Churchill was the last great PM, in my opinion, with each one after a slow and steady slog towards subservience and mediocrity, and it seems on a much accelerated push since Thatcher. It's no coincidence that the British Empire that was made through hundreds of years of effort; was destroyed in rapid order post 1950. And now you have 3rd world shitholes throughout England, and street-shitters as London mayor and the British PM.
I think the combination of fighting the two bloodiest wars in human history within 20 years of each other was what did it, most of the fighting age men of Britain spilled their guts in WWI and WWII, the Empire builders died on the Western Front, not just the people but the attitude and the spirit was bled out of them, and the ones that survived and the immediate next generation were further decimated in WWII.
If the 1st World War hadn't happened the world would have looked a lot different by the end of the 20th Century than how it turned out.
I think the roots of the decline of the West is the 1st World War. Europe in particular was never the same.

This puts people off donating to her.

Yup. She’s right, but the way the game is played is plausible deniability. JKR is able to have deniability with the ‘love your best life I’m a leftie but x is wrong.’ It’s a sad indictment of our times but it’s why you see UK people qualifying statements like ‘look I support (general gay shit) BUT castrating kids is too far.’
Caroline could rephrase this:
‘Your donation will go towards suing Surrey police for their infringement of my civil liberties : this could happen to any of us for any opinion we have, it is a dangerous precedent to set. Humans cannot change sex; and it should not be an offence to say this scientific fact. Gender ideology harms children, and puts them in an medicalised path to chemical and physical surgical sterility. It also runs directly contrary to the UKs safeguarding framework, which has been put in place after the lessons tragic and avoidable deaths of multiple children. We cannot be silenced when we speak out peacefully on things we strongly believe .’ That kind of thing.
The statement as is includes too many things, and the public support for abortion is (alas) there. The crowdfunder should focus on this one thing only and no funds used for anything else. Putting abortion and general anti gay stuff in allows them to paint you into a corner. See that screenshot above. It may or may not be a real person but it’s a warning: it says to the herd ‘this person has too many incorrect opinions and if I donate I will be unpersoned.’
You’re suing the pants off Surrey police for infringing on your civil liberties because you stated a biological fact that humans can’t change sex. Keep it simple.
(You are right about the rest, but one battle at a time, remember what happens to wars on two fronts.)

If you live in Europe, especially England, I don’t see why you wouldn’t conduct yourself online as if you’re living in a totalitarian clownworld police state. Separate e mails for everything, always behind a VPN, certainly no presence on social media that could tie to your real life.
Then they've already beaten you. If you cannot state the Truth without fear of reprisal, you may as well be dead because you're already a slave.

SURREY POLICE: you are nothing but a collection of Marxist pedophiles, homosexuals (but I repeat myself) and fat niggers. Fuck you all, you pathetic wastes of space.
Trannies are not real. Men cannot be women, nor can women be men.
You literally work for the Devil, and you do it gladly. You are bad people and you will come to a bad end, likely by your own hands. The world will be a better place without you, so why wait? Eternity is calling, officers.

As someone who lived for many years in the UK and the US, I'll just throw in my personal opinion here.

Yes, this is fucked. It's utterly absurd and wrong. And no, this wouldn't fly in the US. Some British police forces in recent years have started to go mad with power and an overwhelming desire to interfere in people's private lives. Yes, it is a recent thing - fifty years ago, they'd never have dreamed of doing something like this. I think the change started to happen during the explosion of terrorist attacks in the 2000s.

Here's something positive to bear in mind though - this sort of thing is extremely unpopular. The majority of ordinary people won't put up with this, and the current government have at least publicly said they don't agree with this kind of abuse of power (whether this actually translates into measures to prevent it is another question).

Perhaps more importantly though, to a great extent the legal establishment - especially the judges - don't like this either and they very often kick cases like this out of court. Not always, but sometimes. There have been quite a few court cases recently that have decided against TRA extremists and this is beginning to establish legal precedent that protects people who disagree with them. Yes, it would be much better to have an explicit constitutional right to free speech, but in the absence of that good law will (probably, hopefully) win out over bad policing.

Man, what happened to the UK to make them so God forsaken worthless?

Is this a trick question?

>"Being offensive is an offense"
That's some 1984 shit right there
DO NOT WRONGTHINK,YOU WILL BE FINED

This is also the reason why 1A and 2A are so important
They got their knuckles rapped over that, had to make a public statement clarifying that it was a bare faced lie. Nothing more than that happened though so it is no surprise that things are only getting worse.

Unfortunately irrelevant since it'll be Labour next time. Acceleration is on the menu and the Tories aren't even pretending to roll any of it back before then.

I'm fairly certain the current Labour leader is against this sort of thing, as are the majority of the voters (at least the Labour voters over 40 and those who don't live in London). Whether or not that will be translated into policy, I'm not sure. He might be under too much pressure from the IdPol wing of the party.

I think the death of Savita Halappanavar in Ireland in 2012 has probably crippled the pro-life debate for the foreseeable.

Starmer can't even bring himself to state that women don't have dicks, and tells us we shouldn't be saying that only women can have a cervix.

Labour have made it very clear they hate the majority of the people who vote for them so aligning with their voter's wants is unlikely. I've a few ideas of how Labour could make things worse but I'll be astounded if they do anything better. So best case scenario we're looking at at least another government term of this.

Starmer has never stood up for anything in his life, unless it’s to get off one fence and into another more convenient one.
He’s a fence sitter who goes the way the wind blows. He’s also in charge of a deeply divided party and part of them are insane progressive types who think you can change sex. He hasn’t the spine to have his own opinion. I know he’s got a few advisors who came the free school meals lifeline but they’re outweighed by the mad wing.
whos worse troons or thatcher
Troons. Close run though, esp after Saville. Troons want all of our rights removed

There is no organised Christian right in the uk. Voices like Caroline’s are really very isolated. The USA has a very religious and organised thing that’s broadly the Christian right but we don’t, and we havent for a very long time, anything organised and large here. The moral majority stuff never flew here.
It's really not that large and it's kind of declining. Most people in the US have moderate views on social issues. Like the tranny stuff. They don't care what adults do. They just don't want their kids being bothered. Then the religious types take things too far and they start losing again.

Since Europe and the UK are a bit more secular than the US she should probably try a more moderate approach. She probably won't get very far doing with a religious stance.

They’re seen as weak and cowardly ... and a joke
They have been for a long time to be hones. For those who haven't seen them, the UK has its own version of those American IRL cop shows where they chase criminals and its honestly hilarious. I would highly recommend people watch them for unintentional comedy gold.

Ahmed was caught driving with no license, 4kg of cocaine in his anus and a decapitated woman in his back seat. He was given a formal warning and 3 points on his non-existing license. That will teach him!

Or

A group of 5 black youths was caught wearing balaclavas attempting to break into a car with crowbars at 3am. They were given a stern talking to and told not to come to that neighbourhood again or they would receive an ASBO.

Every scenario is like this. Some hardened criminal does something fucked up and the police go "please don't do it again :( ". Evidently they are only capable of intimidating law abiding mothers for wrong-think.

Why would she be assigned an Offender Manager - surely being an Offender requires a conviction of a crime? I haven't kept up too much with the thread due to general spergary, but Caroline hasn't been convicted of any crime as far as I'm aware?

I can't help but think that Jon Betjemin's Slough should be reworked to cover the whole of the country
Come, friendly bombs, and fall on Slough
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow
Swarm over, Death!

Come, bombs, and blow to smithereens
Those air-conditioned, bright canteens,
Tinned fruit, tinned meat, tinned milk, tinned beans
Tinned minds, tinned breath.

Mess up the mess they call a town -
A house for ninety-seven down
And once a week for half-a-crown
For twenty years,

And get that man with double chin
Who'll always cheat and always win,
Who washes his repulsive skin
In women's tears,

And smash his desk of polished oak
And smash his hands so used to stroke
And stop his boring dirty joke
And make him yell.

But spare the bald young clerks who add
The profits of the stinking cad;
It's not their fault that they are mad,
They've tasted Hell.

It's not their fault they do not know
The birdsong from the radio,
It's not their fault they often go
To Maidenhead

And talk of sports and makes of cars
In various bogus Tudor bars
And daren't look up and see the stars
But belch instead.

In labour-saving homes, with care
Their wives frizz out peroxide hair
And dry it in synthetic air
And paint their nails.

Come, friendly bombs, and fall on Slough
To get it ready for the plough.
The cabbages are coming now;
The earth exhales.

The case has been adjourned to allow the police time to consider evidence submitted by Farrow's legal team. It could be the court's way of allowing the constabulary to withdraw while saving face. Whatever the case, until the matter is resolved the threat made against Farrow by the police remains.
Farrow's solicitor probably got a fright when he saw he was now in the middle of a high profile case, where his work might be scrutinised by people who are on a different gravy train to him.

Hopefully he's now doing what he should have done to start with, point out that Tony is a serial litigant and convicted sex offender, who in that past actually turned up at Farrows home to harass her. His conviction for fraud alone should require the Police to treat his statements skeptically.
