Is there a really market for a Dune MMO?
God no. It's a licensed game, most of them have absolutely no market for them.

In terms of creativity it has already crashed. This industry needs a crash.

You say that like Japanese devs aren't just churning out the exact same shit over and over and over again instead of trying to ride trendsWestern devs have absolutely no idea what gamers actually want.
They are all just copying each others homework and are just trying to make their games as trendy as possible to stand out amongst the crowd of clones. It's all just so soulless and bland.
Gaming is probably my main hobby and i am actually legitimately worried about the industry at this stage. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time i bought a new game for full price.
Even if they did, why did you believe it?Didn't Microsoft say something about not having 'next gen' prices?
Isn't that just dark souls?Nobody has made any 3d metroidvanias
You better pay up, goy.View attachment 5159464
Starfield specs. SSD required? Fuck off, I'm not installing a 125 gig game on my limited SSD space.

Could always make it more puzzle based. A true walking simulator just has absolutely no gameplay and as long as you aren't spewing pretentious shit like The Witness I think it can actually make for a very enjoyable experience especially for doing something like exploring an abandoned world and trying to piece together what's happened.I'm questioning even including shooting. But at that point it would probably just become another "walking simulator"
Dark Souls is based on their King's Field series, which was inspired by the classic Ultima games, which are just first person dungeon crawlers. I suppose you can compare later King's Field to Castlevania in a sense. Dark Souls does not have Metroidvania key -> lock progression (not literal keys, as in areas locked behind requiring an ability), instead its just a world that has unlockable shortcuts back on itself. It's similar since they are all inspired by the same thing, but the lineage branched off.Isn't that just dark souls?
