reddit General

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
they are choreographing the fuck out of this, if the faggots don't reopen their subs they will report that "concerned moderators reached out and so the admins opened the subs and handed them over to said mods".

They're just laying the groundwork for the backstabbing. Jannies are so replacable it's not even funny.

Oh wait, I'm wrong, it's fucking hilarious.
Ngl it's actually great seeing the admins come up with a plan to avoid being Digg'd. Props to them for such an insidious plan. Can't wait to see the hilarious reaction from jannies once they realise this is what's happening and all their grandstanding that Reddit was Digg'ing itself was proven wrong. No way will normies ever realise this either.

My city has a sub devoted to restaurant recommendations because the head mod got sick of tourists asking for le hidden gems.
A user scolded the sub for not going dark.
The sub is actually useful for finding shitfuck restaurants who slap on 2-9% "surcharges" because they don't like democrats.

The never intended the private subreddit feature to be used as much as it is being used
Oh no! They pulled the lever we didn't want them to pull!

Heavy shoes is the MEAN vice principal. Might as well be called NeckBoot.

There's this mess still up for random chicks to find random dudes on Reddit willing to eat them.

I like eating pussy as much as the next guy, but from some random reddit chick? Nah man, pass.

Let the downfall of Tumblr and Reddit be a lesson to other businesses on why nobody should ever appeal to trannies. The moment you take their porn away and start charging them money to use your service is when trannies will stop using your site and move on to a new site like a parasite to a new host.

Admins said the outage yesterday "seems to have been a result of the filtering of private subs on our database"

So it wasn't ddos
Their site is that broken. How would that even break their site? Couldn't they have hired some pajeets instead of mentally ill child molesters?

Spaghetti code and no one currently working there understands what is really going on. I especially hate the java spinner that comes up whenever I try to load the site on my phone.

I imagine the reason the official app is such shit is that there is no one with talent working at reddit. They just expect everyone to funnel content into their precariously placed dumpster.

"good my sir, the needful has been done but a request for a private sub is 1000x as long as a normal request, shall we fix this? it will bill 5000 hours"

"no, nobody requests private subs, that's like 0.01% of our traffic, save the money for hookers and blow"

a few moments later

"sir, every single refer from Google is hitting a private sub, we are le dying"

"shit"

I personally encourage trannies to shout insanity like this as loudly as possible. It shows normal people just how insane they are. This is a person who survived an extermination camp where they likely watched friends and family being led to the gas chamber and this crazy fuck thinks they are on the same level because they can't use the bathroom they want or show off his lady dick to a bunch of preschoolers.
At least in the holocaust you got to take showers with children

I don't normally browse Reddit, but I have been just to see the blackout reaction.

The overall tone towards redditors who support it and the mods in general seems to be very mocking and critical, which is pretty cool. Reddit let the "normies" in and the "normies" don't have much patience for this kind of BS.
that there is no one with talent working at reddit.
I guess why would anyone with talent want to work at Reddit? You could do way cooler things almost anywhere else.

Follow-up to this development. It seems /r/AdviceAnimals (yes, that subreddit still exists) has had a successful coup' d'etat.
The original blackout post has been deleted (archive)
The subreddit is back as of the time of writing (archive)
/r/wholesome post about the top mod getting reduced to modmail privileges only- only an admin could do this, given how reddit's linear mod hierarchy (archive)
Context - https://i.imgur.com/I7G25aL.png

In short, last week the head moderator of /r/AdviceAnimals opened an internal discussion with their mod team about participating in the ongoing site-wide protests.

Only a few mods responded in that internal thread and then, yesterday, after the subreddit went private in support of the protest a single moderator (ranked far below the head mod on the list) apparently was able to get the admins of reddit to strip the head moderator of their permissions and reverse the decision to participate in the blackout.

Is that a tactic to, unwholesomely, make an example of those mods in the hope of preventing the blackout from going beyond 48 hours (as many subreddits are voting to do right now)?

Do the admins plan to use a similar tactic as pretext to hand subreddits over to lower ranked moderators who oppose the protest and will work with the admins to provide cover over the next few months while the IPO is prepared?
Current mod list is in the imgur link:

Looks like /u/CationBot is also gunning to take over /r/videos by the same method, jannies displeased. The proposed solution to the scab question is, of course, to ban them from any subreddit they control.

Haha, knew it!

What are the jannies gonna do now, hm? They should've left reddit *checks watch* about several years ago. Kind of too late to migrate your community now.
