we often hear about the so called impact AI will make on the world it will replace jobs threaten cizilzation and create skynet i thought AI would be the thing that wipes out tech giants like google but upon pondering this i was wrong bings AI is already showing signs of failure and all of these AI concerns can be applied to modern social media and search engines i personally think the AI hysteria is hyped up to promote antinatialism much like climate change and to promote goverment regulation like sam dicksucker alltman favors

AI is gonna be a passing fad it will be like CB radios or netbooks or AOL it blew up got huge everyone was freaking out making as many as the market could handle then it died and we look back and think man that was a crazy time we thought AOL would be the market dominator forever and its gonna be the same thing and before i am compared to paul krugmans the internet will be like faxmachines quote i must ask

1 what utility does AI serve that will not get stale after a few months
AI does things people can already do with search engines at most google will just copy its features and intergrate them into google
2 BUT AI MAKES COOMER ART COOMERS MEAN STONKS
AI art much like other AI things is already stale you can only make the same boring pictures of Henti women with big breasts before you just use real artists theres an overload of coomer content and art in general AI also is frowned upon much like art tracing so it will be looked at as a shame so the Weeb coomers will just watch their coomer tunes
3 BUT AI IS LITERALLY SKYNET THE GOOGLE EMPLOYEE SAID SO
the google employee is a fat retard who wanted attention AIs only do what you train them on and he kept saying its sentient so the AI said so

and that concludes my rant AI is a nothing burger fad that will die by next year fight me

If a modern 11.6-inch laptop counts as a netbook, those didn't go away either. They are now Chromebooks, Android and iOS tablets with keyboards, Windows 2-in-1s, etc. CB radio is useless 99.9% of the time with Internet-capable smartphones in every pocket, and so on.

So-called "AI" is a bit overhyped, but by the time the tide of money and resources ebbs, bean counters will have spread it to wherever it can possibly go. It will build back up again.

The search engine stuff has sucked so far. The success of LLMs will depend on not allowing the quality to plateau, and getting it cheaper. Betting against LLMs becoming better than GPT-4 seems like a bad bet. We've already seen them become smaller and cheaper for the same capability, like LLaMa which leaked on 4chan. Maybe both have to happen at the same time, or they need new components to give correct approved answers.

Image-generating diffusion AI is more of a success story. In addition to illegal coomer content, it's creating entertainment slop and fake news imagery. It will be successful in allowing governments to crack down hard on social media.

Sam Altman's motive is to kill the competition, which is rational but evil. Assault GPUs can be regulated without an amendment getting in the way.

Blake Lemoine is a fat idiot Christmysticuck. Fatties have broken brains and the sleep apnea and shit and should never be trusted.

I think we'll see more developments rather than a fad death bubble burst, because the computer science people have never stopped pushing the envelope. Robotics has been more disappointing. Where are our dexterous mechanical slaves at?
