This has me interested, french animation is very underrated and Dead Cells is very fun.
The backgrounds look nice but the personality and style is indistinguishable from every other fucking disney show. On the subject I watched Big City Greens without sound at a pizza place once and got very tired of seeing the characters do that pose. You know the one.
As near as I can tell the "people" behind demanding that stuff from the Amphibia creators are less fans and degenerates whose entire exposure to the show was internet porn. I think for the majority of the show the creators were allowed to do what they wanted but the creepy fucks on the internet and Disney pandering to them wanted some extra stuff.
Again so hence the comparison to the false confession from orwells animal farm. The animals snowball accused made confessions to stop the pain of being tortured...so snowball rewarded them for it with the sweet release of death by his trained dogs.
Fucking Mucha lucha was a better representation of Mexican culture and that show was basically what if we made a show based on all Mexicans being luchadors?.
So if I understood it correctly, Amerimutts make a show about Mexico using their Disney biased depiction of Mexicans as inspiration, because they were never actually exposed to their parent culture and language.
