I read an article saying that the wholesale loss of multiple owned vehicles is causing a lot of people to quit, but I assume these people will jump back on once it's fixed.
I'm 50/50 on this. If it's any consultation, the GTA/R* consoomers will jump back when hearing the announcement that Online has been fixed. On the other hand, most people will move on and will be considered too little too late.

I just can't believe that *this* would be the line in the sand for most people at this point. GTA Onlines utter contempt for the fans has been shown time and time again for like 5 years now. I don't even think this is the first time there has been a car loss issue.

I mean, I hope they do, but at this point I think GTA Online is primarily played by nigger cattle NPC types.

That's only because the fantards will come back to it because of the big name written in big, bold, shiny, colorful, all-capitalized letters with the R* and 2K people jangling their keys in the process. If it has the name, they will buy into it. It's the power of being a pathetic consoomer.

There are seriously people saying it's perfectly fine that they removed 200 vehicles from the game because no one was buying them to begin with -- never mind that quite a few were popular DLC cars. I can't even fathom the level of indoctrination required to even being to think that this is anything other than a bad thing. That you could take any stance to defend this.

They didn't remove vehicles from the game
They removed them from the ingame storefront websites

Is it a vehicle that you can steal from the street and keep? you're okay
Is it a vehicle that can show up in the Auto Shop? you can buy it
Are you on next gen? Then you can buy cars from other players in LSCM
Are you on PC? Then just use certain scripts to obtain any storable vehicle in the game for a small fraction of the price

Thanks for proving my point.

I never insinuated the situation is fine, I just take an issue with people misrepresenting the facts
The vehicles were not removed from the game, they were only removed from the ingame website storefront thingies, and anyone who just writes "removed" implies that the vehicles were taken away from every player's garages, removed from the storefronts, their models, textures, audio data etc. straight up deleted etc.

And people on PS4 and Xbox One can't do any of what you suggested, can they? So it pretty much is removed for them.

Like, there's no misrepresentation here. The entire reason they did this is to create a FOMO cycle, like banners in gacha games... except an entire generation can't even participate. PC players shouldn't have to break ToS to get a car. Console users are fucked no matter what. For all intents and purposes the cars are removed. If you want to argue semantics, whatever. They're still in the code, they're in the garages until it glitches out and support plays a small violin or - if you're lucky - reimburses you the money it was valued, but not the actual car.

That doesn't change that they're effectively gone from circulation.
