They really don't understand the idea of adventure anymore do they? You let the most sensitive people pin you into a box of ideas so now you just make gay shit.

The relatability of the main character is something that exists so you can explain the story. You can honestly make a duller character a member of the adventure, but not the main character they start the story and move over when the charismatic lead comes in. For fuck's sake some of Disney's biggest hits are literally women going to a fantastic other world with Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Shit like the Jungle Book, Cinderella, and Dumbo were fun because they had fantastical elements and wanted to entertain you.

I swear to God if they start picking up national myths to fuck up because their original stories suck ass I'm gonna be pissed. I don't want King Arthur where know-it-all black lesbian is Merlin or Paul Bunyan where Paul becomes an environmentalist.
The past is poison to SJWs like the ones who run Disney. That's because it reminds folks of a time before culture commissars with damaged amygdalas wormed their way into everything and started rewriting the world to remove conflict and competition: the two things that are the bane of every SJW. A hero's journey about a good natured kid who performs acts of derring do and overcomes internal and external evil to save a kingdom or rescue someone he loves? It's to the SJW what sunshine is to a vampire. SJWs would much rather write stories about members of oppressed victim groups who easily defeat villains from oppressor groups, and do so without effort. Forcing characters from oppressed victim groups to undergo training and self-improvement is a form of oppression, bigot.

The sad thing is, the SJWs win either way. If their wokeshit becomes popular, they win. if it becomes so unpopular it tanks the company, they also win because then it means there's one less franchise for normal male fans to enjoy.

I understand where it's coming from because oppressed groups have always been told that they are wrong & defective, stupid and beneath (straight) white men and they had to work harder than them to get even just a tiny but success & recognition. So from an SJW POV the heroes journey is oppressive because the hero starts out as less capable and has to get better. But in their mind it's the same racist, sexist, ableist etc. shit that minorities had to deal with time and time again. They are connecting the heroes journey with oppression which is delusional & dumb but well, here we are.

But in my opinion the actual problem is that they are too late. This crap was unavoidable but it should have happened like 40-60 years ago, not now in the late 2010s & 2020s where there is practically no oppression anymore. They are going backwards and acting like we are still in the past where women & minorities have to fight for their rights.

OFC, it's the stereotypical libshit white woman & The Token Taco (I made this term, I'm proud of it), who's probably a pro-Latinx for all we know. Both of which have the mental illness pronouns.

Edit: It's even worse, the white woman's name is actually Natasha Klein, not Kline. "They" ✡️ are at it again.

Funny thing is, true South Americans literally don't give a fuck about this kind of thing, as known from the Speedy Gonzalez incident.

Its their eternal victim complex, they like to act like life is just "sooooo hard" and they struggle a lot but their "struggles" are usually shit like "I got misgendered at Starbucks" or "Nooooooooooooooooooooo The lastest Marvel Funko Pops are sold Out Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee".

That and shit like Obama in that speech claiming that racism is worse today than it was 200 years ago, so according to him niggers today (whom are treated almost as gods) are worse today than on the times where they where slaves (and allegedly also raped into submission according to Tariq Na'Sneed)
The Token Taco (I made this term, I'm proud of it)
I'm gonna start using this term too

CFO Christine McCarthy leaving apparently temporarily. Wonder if the temporary will become permanent? ;) https://deadline.com/2023/06/disney...ily-medical-leave-kevin-lansberry-1235418363/
Per the article:
McCarthy ... will assist with the process of identifying and onboarding a long-term successor to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
If memory serves, she was the one (or at least one of the ones) to reach out to Iger bring him back, ousting Chapek. Maybe karma at work. Certainly would be if her retirement plan consisted largely of Disney stock.

I guess she'll return after then the SHTF because she don't want to be directly involved in the impending Disney collapse.

I was also shocked that the shitty Peter Pan and Wendy movie ( I have not seen it and I won't) was directed by David Lowery, the same guy who made the excellent The Green Knight . I know that he wrote the screenplay for it, but he is not the one I would pick to make a Peter Pan movie.
Given that I thought The Green Knight was a steaming pile of shit, I am not surprised having learned of this revelation.

Two things one missing & another was infinity gauntlet.
1. Delay list
Disney is shaking up its release calendar, adding a new “Star Wars” movie and “Moana” live-action adaptation to the schedule and delaying the next three “Avatar” movies by a year. At this rate, the fifth trip to Pandora will be released in 2031. That’s in eight years, for anyone who wants to know the math.

Among the highlights of the overhaul: A live-action “Moana” will be released on June 27, 2025; “Deadpool 3” moved up from Nov. 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024; an untitled “Star Wars” movie is debuting on Dec. 18, 2026; “Avatar 3” has shifted to Dec. 19, 2025; “Avatar 4” to Dec. 21, 2029, and “Avatar 5” to Dec. 19, 2031. Based on this timeline, the final “Avatar” movie is coming 22 years after the original 2009 blockbuster.

‘Extraction 2’ Review: Chris Hemsworth’s Streaming Sequel Ratchets Up the Adrenaline-Pumping Action
Other changes include a massive Marvel reshuffling. “Captain America: Brave New World” is moving from May 3, 2024, to July 26, 2024, which in turn is delaying “Thunderbolts” to Dec. 20, 2024, “Blade” to Feb. 14, 2025, and “Fantastic Four” to May 2, 2025. “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” is getting pushed back an entire year, from May 2, 2025, to May 1, 2026. It’s taking the place of “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which is jumping from May 1, 2026, to May 7, 2027.

With the addition of a “Star Wars” film in December 2026, it means that two movies set in a galaxy far, far away will be released in that year. A separate “Star Wars” movie has been pushed from Dec. 19, 2025, to May 22, 2026. Another “Star Wars” film is set for Dec. 17, 2027. Disney hasn’t clarified the premises of any of those installments.

Elsewhere, the new “Alien” movie, produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Fede Alvarez, will open on Aug. 16, 2024.

Production delays and the ongoing WGA strike are part of the reason behind the total overhaul of the release plan. Disney recently paused filming on “Blade” and “Thunderbolts,” which led to a ripple effect on the rest of the interconnected Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In regards to “Avatar,” the space between the sequels will allow the post-production and visual effects department to continue expanding, developing and refining the different ecosystems across the vast world of Pandora.

“Each ‘Avatar’ film is an exciting but epic undertaking that takes time to bring to the quality level we as filmmakers strive for and audiences have come to expect,” producer Jon Landau wrote on Twitter. “The team is hard at work and can’t wait to bring audiences back to Pandora in December 2025.”

I mean they've already been doing that re-writing history shit with video games and netflix shows, what's to stop disney/pixar from doing the same?

Critics have been overly kind to marvel shit for too long, so wouldn't take it being 60% to mean it's worse than the shows before it right now, just that they were too kind of shit like She-hulk.
Critics don't really have value anyway - they all have blind spots, and many of them do when it comes to Marvel. Since Black Panther (and before it imo) it hasn't really mattered if a show is rated 20% or 80%, all it needs is to have enough blue checkmarks and critic sites will roll out the red carpet for them.

You can see it with the Marvel shows, most of them are sitting at like 80%+. None of them are that good. Hell, there's very little out there that good.

So some rumors are flying around about the CFO's departure, from some of the usual rumor-mongers. I found some succinct summaries:

WSJ is reporting she butted heads with several including Iger (even after bringing Iger back).

Ace (at ace of spades) speculates that Chapek might have tried to fudge the books with FTX coin investments? And she helped? WTF, big if true, but no evidence to support it.
