You're neat, I like you

@JulieRei As the esteemed Dr. Jangles said, we're not a place that picks favorites. Would what we do be somehow better if we only targeted the 'right' type of people IE those who hold conservative viewpoints? And I don't mean this as an attack or anything, I'm just curious about the mindset of the people that come and engage us on our own site. You also have to remember that we're a large community, and that we have people from all over the world. Pretty much every viewpoint is represented here, from the far right to the far left to the strange fringe types, and they're all accepted and made fun of behind their backs to their faces.

As a follow up, what do you think we do? Like, just from what you can see/have seen, what's the impression you get of our 'mission', beyond a simple "you are bullies" if at all possible? You don't gotta do research or anything, a non-crazy outsider's view of the community is always interesting.

Lots of you even seem to find Steven Crowder funny and talented.

I don't know where you get that impression from.

He's far less funny than Hayden is. Didn't he engineer a fight with an old union worker at a rally and get his ass handed to him?

Eh, I never got the selectiveness with the questions in this case; she clearly answers more personal ones so why not these ones. The only reason I'd see why is because of the whole "non-disclosure" thing actors do, but the problem with that is this shitshow is never getting off of the ground; Black is too cheap and lazy to get people to animate his pigslop, so unless he just makes it live it's never getting beyond scripts and audio.

HOLY SHIT! I miss ONE NIGHT and @JulieRei comes to the Farms!

Oh my gosh, Julie, I am so excited you are here, that is truly genuine. I don't have a Twitter but I would totally follow you if I did. I haven't read all the posts yet but I hope everyone was nice to you. ;-; You really were nice to me and I hope I was nice enough in return. Seriously, you deserve so much better than Hayden, I was excited to see you were going to be at Comic Con's Walking Dead panel because I thought that meant you got a big break! I honestly hope I get to hear from you again. I still have my GenZed signed postcard from you! I do stay positive and still think you are beautiful. :)

Awwwww, you're too sweet dear. Way too sweet to be hanging around with these neckbeards. :-p

There was a lot of that "LOL you're a Tr*nny with a giant chin and man hands" in the first few pages, but that stopped when most people realized I'm pretty immune to that personally regardless of the fact that I have and will continue to speak out against transphobia online. (Although Amy Lee's "Arms say Chopin, Jaw says Wagner" line got a smile out of me for some odd reason).

I do appreciate that you think so highly of me and are rooting for me to get bigger and better. I hope my work as a performer lives up to that admiration. I really do.

The only personal issue I have with you was recording the animatic. But other than that, you're really nice for a terrorist.

:heart-full:

Most people do that stuff just to see if you're the type of person that will freak out over the "easy bait". You're actually one of the better people to come here in that you just kinda roll with it and have good comebacks.

So out of the roles you've taken that you are allowed to talk about, which have been your favorites? The stuff with Black seems pretty messed up on our end, but it seems like you've dealt with similar situations before.

Believe it or not, "Pew Pew!" was originally "Kenny Chesney!", but it became obvious it wasn't working.

How is it that a failed joke births another failed joke? Is this Hayden's equivalent of a dead cat argument, I wonder... You forget the previously unfunny joke because "Holy shit there's a dead cat on the table instead!"

I recently worked on "Time Traveling Bong" for Comedy Central and was asked back on another episode of "Henry Danger" on Nickelodeon. That's all I can actually talk about.

Glancing through your IMDB you do seem to be doing some pretty neat stuff tbh. You survived the hazing and you'd probably find the farms a fairly comfortable place if you're a former SA goon.

And yet there's no thread for him or others on the conservative right (like Milo Yiannopolis) who engage in the same type of victimization narrative, even those who are Trans like Theryn Meyer or even Blaire White who has been doing a victim pity tour through RW media lately. Given how much Trans Twitter openly discusses how flawed Blaire's narrative is along with her victimhood complex, you'd have a lot more people believing this place is truly neutral if you guys openly discussed her in the same way you do the likes of Zinnia Jones or Brianna Wu.

Not that I'm endorsing openly issuing personal attacks or mocking ANYONE. I'm just trying to show you why this place has the reputation of being politically and socially conservative.

First off, literally who?
Second, we generally do not allow threads on people who have achieved mainstream fame. There have been some exceptions, but they're rare. (Unless of course our thread started before the person became infamous.)

We really don't. Alt-right types tend to dislike this place too.

None of those people are interesting, and paying attention to Milo Yiannopolis is playing into his hand. There's no fun to be had in it. It's worth remembering we're not terribly interested in "fighting the good fight", we go after people who are going to have a strong emotional reaction. The right wingers tend to be cynical, bitter old fucks. They have limited chimp potential.
That said, I have mentioned we've have swaths of conservative cows. Almost the entire site was actively fucking with the MRA/Loveshy/Sluthate crowd for quite a while.
It's actually a running forum joke. The MRA's think we're whining liberal pansies, and you people think we're neoconservatives.
It's largely a matter of age. Most of the diehard conservative base is approaching their late sixties, and thus do very little to attract our attention. Meanwhile, the more liberal end of the spectrum tends to be driven to do things like freebleeding and staging massive protests of screaming lunatics crying that the police exist.
And that shit is funny.

You've met exactly one Kiwi and liked her.
Ever considered that maybe we might not be the horrible monsters you think we are?

Wu is mocked for being a lying manipulative scam artist that blames GamerGate for everything and routinely plays the victim for money and attempts at fame. Her political leanings are just mocked when they tie into that.

To be fair, a lot of the people who get threads are weird fringe cases that exist outside of traditional political labels. They may assign a specific political ideology, religion, or culture to themselves, but closer inspection reveals that they're often practicing a bizarre self-created belief system and then retroactively applying familiar labels. And that's just the ones who aren't completely clueless. There are plenty of people who join a cause or a subculture without having any idea what it actually involves, and then just coast along without realizing they have no idea what they're talking about.

A second, arguably larger, factor is the tendency for people to see this site and its users as "the enemy." There's a Rorschach effect at work; whatever a person hates most, they accuse us of being, and most users are happy to play the part. We're racist Trump supporters, but we're also man-hating feminists, liberal academic dupes, pawns of the global Zionist conspiracy, unwitting minions of Satan, butthurt Evangelicals, agents of a Pennsylvania railroad company, autistic teenagers, Gamergaters, anti-Gamergaters, hackers on steroids, and a massive front that exists only to hide shady international dealings. Depending on who you're asking.

And like @Dr. Boe Jangles Esq. said above, it's also a matter of demographics. We can't make a thread unless someone is putting content online. Which means a greater focus on younger subjects, and especially ones who spend a lot of time engaged in internet communities, and especially-especially ones who imagine their personal drama to be more important than it is.

Anyway, back on topic: Boy, Hayden's eye sure is weird!
