Tophia Slydell is a 30-year-old unemployed TikTok “influencer” who lives in squalor with her sickly mother and schizophrenic father in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her most notable works are her daily livestreams, during which she broadcasts her bizarre family dynamics and self-imposed financial struggles for all to see. Being entirely delusional and believing that working a normal job is beneath her, she dreams of becoming rich and famous through her content as well as marrying a kpop idol.

Background
Not much is known about her early life as she barely had an Internet presence until 2018, when she began oversharing on Musical.ly/TikTok and YouTube. Her mother is Marie Lucero and her (alleged) father is Donald Slydell, although there is some dispute about whether or not he is her biological father which will be covered later. She also has a brother named Donald Jr. who is considered to be the most "normal" of the bunch.
Everyone in her family is unemployed with the exception of her father, who (ironically) owns a financial services company that operates out of their home. His main source of income, though, is tugboat checks he gets because of his disability. He is diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but based on his behavior there is speculation that he is really schizophrenic. As the family’s main breadwinner he is the one in charge of paying the rent, which will become relevant later on.

Tophia has only had one job at Dunkin’ Donuts, from which she was fired due to personal hygiene issues:

Thankfully we can’t smell Tophia through the screen but based on her appearance, the way her family members act around her and the state of her environment it can reasonably be assumed that she smells. Her father was once seen on stream spraying her with air freshener:

Tophia and romance
Tophia is known for her fetishization of Asian men. There is one specific user, Wesley Boba, who deleted his account because of the negative attention she brought him by making cringe duets of his videos.
As mentioned earlier she has also exposed her porn preferences on live. She flipped her phone horizontally once and accidentally showed her open tabs, one of which appeared to have the Pornhub Gay logo:

Donald Sr. is a lolcow in his own right. He has his own TikTok account and does his own streams, during which he is known to flirt with young female viewers and mime licking the camera:
He also has a Twitter account where he posts schizo rants, revolting nudes, pictures of the filth his family lives in and likes copious amounts of porn.
He is known to display bizarre and erratic behavior such as sticking green tape in the shape of crosses to the walls of the apartment, covering the carpeted parts of the floor with cardboard, burning things for no apparent reason, building what appear to be altars and constructing what can only be described as “sculptures” out of random objects.
Due to his mental illness he has gotten himself into huge amounts of legal trouble in the past and been arrested many times. His most recent arrests were for false imprisonment of his family and for missing the court date for said false imprisonment. He has since been released but, much like Hershey, not much else is known of his whereabouts and his family doesn't appear to be concerned about finding him.

Mamachu / Marie Lucero / mlucero
Marie is a lot more private than Papachu and Tophia, although she does enjoy going live on an audio-only platform called Stationhead and can commonly be heard berating Tophia’s trolls. She is very insecure about her appearance and dislikes being seen on camera. Despite Tophia constantly starting fights with her, she is her biggest enabler and always the first to come to her defenses.
She has asthma and is always coughing because Papachu insists on smoking cigarettes and burning random objects inside the apartment. In pictures he’s posted on his Twitter you can see how yellow the walls are in comparison to the white patches where things used to be hung up.
She has recently started a subreddit with the intention of conversing with people to clear her family's name, but in reality she gets BTFO by almost everyone who posts there and accuses them of lying even when they include evidence in their posts. Her account, u/Early_Hat_6595, is in a continuous state of negative karma.

Brotherchu / Donald Slydell Jr. †

Even though Donald Jr. was arguably the most normal member of the Slydell family, he too was a lunatic. While he didn't really have an Internet presence outside of his appearances in his family’s streams, his ex-girlfriend Nicole Velarde (AKA Angie) has spoken out about her experiences with the family in her own livestreams on TikTok and even streamed their fights.
According to her, the apartment reeked of piss, shit and body odor:

Eviction saga
Sometime in 2022 Papachu stopped paying rent. He didn’t tell anyone else about this and no one in his family found out until they received a notice of non-payment stating that they owed $3,000. They asked for a rent extension because they didn’t have the money.
Meanwhile, Tophia and Brotherchu attended Comic-Con and spent $500 because they assumed the extension was approved:
Around this time one of the neighbors, @ghettogomez (known by Tophiaverse enthusiasts as Neighborchu), began going live on TikTok and recording the outside of their apartment building. He has since gone DFE and only one clip survives:
They were then served another eviction notice, this time citing their online activity. Tophia blamed this entirely on Neighborchu but it is more likely that pictures and videos of her dad starting fires in the apartment, frequent police visits and nonpayment of rent were to blame.

Aunt Karen Live saga
Aunt Karen is a drama TikToker who hosts livestreams that mimic a courtroom. People who find themselves embroiled in gay TikTok drama can come on her show and hash it out with her as a mediator. Tophia has made several appearances even though Aunt Karen and the guests she brings on have viciously ripped her several new assholes and caused her to openly weep on stream.

Revenge saga
Tophia’s TikTok account was banned on June 11th, 2023. However, she has previously expressed that she has no intention of leaving social media and will undoubtedly find other ways to share her antics. For example, she immediately went berserk on her Instagram story doxing her detractors, threatening lawsuits and starting beef with other creators:

Attempted Carjacking and Murder of Brotherchu
In the early hours of March 11, 2025, the Slydell family were victims of a carjacking gone wrong. They had been living in their car since being kicked out of the motel and the perpetrator attempted to steal their vehicle, presumably to flee from police after committing another crime. Brotherchu, who had been asleep in the drivers seat, was shot and passed away at the scene and Mamachu, who was also wounded, remains in the hospital in critical condition as of the afternoon of the incident. She was hospitalized recently with an unknown illness and this combined with the grief of losing a child makes it likely that she may pass as well. The perpetrator also died after being shot by a nearby security guard.
