Depends where you are. Youngstown is a genuine shithole on the level of Newark or worse. Not as bad as Camden, though. Steubenville, an utter shithole. Cleveland, shithole. Cincinnati and Columbus have pretty sketchy sections but at least have some of the benefits of larger cities. I wouldn't live in either, though.

The general U.S. rule is that almost every big city is a shithole, but the best of them at least have some opulent section of them that's relatively safe. The worst are complete shitholes everywhere. Meanwhile middle sized cities have a range from pretty good to shitholes (like West Memphis). And large town/small cities municipalities are often quite nice.

New Jersey takes this to an exaggerated degree. Every single big city in New Jersey is an absolute fuckhole. The small towns are quite nice, but unfortunately expensive and the property taxes are insane throughout the entire state, which is why so many people leave when they retire and are on a fixed income.

Civil rights are a political issue because civil rights are only a political question, the term has no other context to it. Your attempt at being a professional quotemaker has failed (so I am euphoric) because you chose to skip learning about nearly four thousand years of political philosophy before becoming an activist.

A few details of how his identity were nailed down have been omitted.

I might get shit for this but I think there's more to this story than "crazy tranny beats woman". Mind you, I think this guy is fucking nuts from reading all his comments on the two Reddit posts you linked-- some of his ramblings are almost on par with something an actual schizophrenic would say with all the talk of the whole police force being against him and doing nothing while he gets beaten and raped in front of them by some vile woman, but I don't think he's entirely lying either.

In the replies of the first post, he mentions that the woman is in the process of filing to dissolve the VPO, presumably because she wants to keep contacting him:

Now I'm not a lawfag at all, but to my uneducated pea brain it seems to be that this could be her dissolving the Order, like he said. Compare this to the dismissal of his VPO:

I think the woman is fucking crazy as well. My personal theory is that she found him hand deep in the panty drawer one day and she just went fucking postal, who knows. But I don't think he's making all of this up, and maybe there's a way to prove it.

He says here that she has wrecked his company office and "destroyed thousands of dollars worth of equipment". I could maybe believe all the domestics flying under the radar (again, giving him the biggest benefit of the doubt here and assuming that this bitch really rapes and beats him every night or whatever), but surely there must have been something filed if she's doing such severe property damage?

Not sure if it's down or if it's because I'm not in America, but if anyone can check if there's anything on an "Amanda Vantuyl" (I'm assuming this is her since she is listed as one of the two parties involved in the file), that would be much appreciated.

What exactly would this accomplish, you ask? Well... it would mean that Phillip might be a very mentally ill tranny, but at least he wouldn't necessarily be a very mentally ill tranny who beat and raped a woman. Like I said I think there's way more to this story, but it's all coming from a very unreliable narrator. Plus two crazies are better than one.

@JelloJerk I wouldn't be surprised if his ex is mentally unstable herself. People with Borderline Personality Disorder are infamous for being attracted to clinical Narcissists; I've seen multiple women with BPD spurn genuinely decent blokes in order to chase after abusive NPD arseholes. BPD are very susceptible to love bombing and because their sense of self is so unstable, they will often try to find a partner who will enforce an identity on them. They also struggle with deep feelings of emptiness and being alone, so a stable, calm environment can be at best incredibly boring for them, and at worst, leaving them desperate for drama and stimulation because they just can't take the quiet. So they end up with unstable people who will alternatively love bomb them, abuse them, give them the high drama they crave, and most importantly, are so batshit that the BPD is never forced to examine her own behaviour.

Many women in abusive relationships are trapped by finances, children, violence, and their own family background of dysfunction. However, a significant percentage of these will deliberately search out chaos and drama because they themselves are royally fucked up.
