If you’re a trans athlete in high school or college and you can safely do this— do it. Trans men, try out for women’s volleyball and basketball teams. Trans women, start marching into the men’s locker rooms and trying out for the football teams. Fuck it. They’ll learn their lesson, regret and reverse it within a week, bet.

I’m sick of sitting on the sidelines and feeling like we can’t do anything. We can organize. We can fight back strategically. We can get trans civil rights passed. But only if we show up for ourselves. No one cares about us but us. We have to show them.

There were rumours he deliberately threw his shot at the Olympics to try and prove transwomen have no advantage, but I prefer the Occam's Razor explanation of him just being dogshit at lifting.
