Because it's the foundation myth of the modern American state and the core justification for liberal morality and political thought into the 21st century?
I'd agree that few normies, if they were ever even exposed to it, would come away from that debate liking either of them or throwing up Romans or whatever, but for anyone interested, that was total annihilation. Mike did reasonably well, though he should chill out a little if something similar happens in the future, but
@History Speaks really was his own worst enemy. It's abundantly clear he has both crippling autism AND a relatively low intellect, which is basically a kiss of death. Completely lacking in self awareness, utterly incapable of self reflection or acknowledging his own mistakes. An all around loser, and someone who should take a long break from the internet, learn some humility and pick a new field of study.
The one time he popped up in this thread and was savagely BTFOd by all involved makes so much more sense now. He is an actual fool, who just happens to dedicate his time to a seemingly serious study, Holocaust research. He came off way dumber than I anticipated, hung up on semantics like acknowledging documents were destroyed proves those documents were related to the Holocaust. He seemed to actually believe this, incapable of understanding the distinction.
Prior to this, I was what they would describe as a Choose Your Own Holocaust-er, assuming it was a gross exaggeration but still of the belief the Nazis had engaged in some forms of mass killing of Jews for various reasons. Given how little actual clear cut evidence for intentional mass killing Cockrell offered, I've actually been reconsidering this interpretation in the ensuing days.
Just all in all an utterly pathetic display, and he's lucky the debate was censored from YouTube so quickly, as I can't imagine anyone curious or on the fence coming away from that interaction MORE certain in the belief the Holocaust occurred as claimed. He looked terrible. He sounded terrible. His arguments were terrible. It was bad.
