A decent human being hates pedophiles because:

1. We recognize the damage they do can ruin a person's life before they even have a chance to start living it- leading to depression, addiction, inability to feel trust and have good relationships with others, a warped sexuality that can itself turn into preying on others...the list goes on and on.

2. We recognize that even among sexual criminals, preying on those who are physically and mentally helpless and who have unspoiled innocence and don't even properly understand what sex is, is a special kind of evil. It robs the victims of the natural ability to grow up and grow into sexuality on a normal and healthy timeline.

Now this is NOT the reasoning you (and many others) have stated for why "nice normal gays and lesbians" hate pedos. On the contrary, they hate the pedos "because they make the rest of us look bad" and "because they make it harder for us to gain acceptance in the mainstream" and "because they make it more difficult for us to achieve our political goals."

Apply this reasoning to any other group. A guy whose main reason for opposing serial rapists is "they make it harder for normal guys to score with women in bars." A Catholic priest whose main concern about a rapist priest is "he will make it so parents are less likely to trust me with Youth Group." A woman who is mostly upset upon reading a headline about a woman who murdered her kids because "this will make people think women are unstable."

Is the phrase "narcissistic creep" hovering at the tip of your tongue? It should be. This is sociopathic reasoning. If the average "normie gay" operates on a default mode of solipsistic, narcissistic self-concern bordering on sociopathy- well, that confirms some old psychiatric studies about homosexuality that got buried in the 70s. But also it shows that the "normie gay" is already markedly abnormal by the standards of actual normal human society.

Foresight is a useful skill, not a virtue - recognising the white water downstream earlier than others can be beneficial to get out of harm's way, but is not indicative of any lack of desire to traverse the river in the first place. Sure, you'll have some troubles paddling against the current, but it sure beats the alternative. Besides, Gays Against Groomers was established in June 2022, obviously after the groomer discourse kicked up, not before - it's literally part of the name.
