YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

I don't know if it's a specific Youtuber, but there's a specific type of content that I've grown to hate with a fucking passion due to how often it's popped up in my feed or the "shorts" feed.

It's what I call the "hidden camera good deed" type of content that's specifically posted for clicks and likes. Usually it's set up like this: Guy (or girl) will have free groceries in the back of the trunk and start handing them out to folks "in need" (aka paid actors), and during the entire filming of it, some Karen or Ken will call the police on them.

My god that sounds horrifying

I don't know if "everyone" likes him, but I see him brought up enough to get annoyed.

This dude named Ryan McBeth. Seems like a REMF who prattles on and on about Ukraine and being a triathlete despite looking about 80 pounds overweight. Twitter and reddit fags love to post his videos and I just find them annoying as fuck.

Max Derrat is a literal autist youtuber who you might know him as the guy behind "the most profound moment in gaming" video from a few years back.
He does "deep" analytical dives into philosophy and psychology into games and media and I'm sorry but he just comes off as a tad bit pretentious. I understand there's a bit of discussion about the things he's talking about, but the way he emphasizes that certain things (games, movies) are just these truly groundbreaking, awe inspiring, genre-redefining works that should be on par with shit from plato or great minds from years ago, it all comes off as immense soy facing over [PRODUCT]. Like your average pseudo-intellectual redditor if he had a youtube channel.
Not to mention this laughably bad video topic:

And even his 2008 Simpsons pfp screams autism right here.

Ryan, in my opinion, is just one of those talking heads who will shill whatever opinion the Poor Ukraine side of the conflict spouts at any given time. He isn't a serious commentary who takes a unbiased look at the war, he's just there to give ammo to Nafo fags and their ilk so they can throw it as Pro Vatniks in online slap fights.

Alpharad and I used to really like his content actually.
Over time his commentary increasingly devolved into spewing Twitter memes and references at any given moment which becomes especially apparent in his non-Smash videos.
Also this guy won't shut the fuck up about his dozen waifus, like any time a female fictional character shows up he starts begging Sakurai to put her in Smash
While I'm a fan of Alpha the constant waifu thirsting does tend to annoy me. It's a repeated joke that evokes the worst otaku vibes.

So to go back to talking about Dumbsville, I checked to see what he's been up to after I unsubbed from him, and I'm not surprised that he liked the HBO Max Last of Us show, even after ranting about The Last of Us 2 game back three years prior (even shortly before he got into movie reviewing).
Granted, as the video suggests, he admits that the show is flawed and he didn't come across as an ass while giving the show some praise. That said, it's still a garbage video. Still, good for him for still making content, I guess.
Speaking of dumbsville this *islamic content* is somehow from a review of the lego movie 2. The following occurs after 10:19.

And is it just me or has his zoomer humor spam increased by a significant margin? Maybe It's just because I haven't watched any of his trash in a while but it seems so much worse.

Two big channels I used to watch a lot about a decade ago.

Markiplier:
He's just become kind of lifeless and boring now, compared to 2012-2014, he sounds like he's totally done with youtube and just wants to cash out. Soulless.

He has also started catering to modern SJW culture I don't know how much he really believes and how much is just him selling out to stay on youtube's good side.
Either way I don't have any respect for it.

I do like that he still associates with

BTW this is his second channel. It used to be called MarkiplierGAME because his previous channel (just Markiplier) was banned at some point around 2012 IIRC. He's been ban evading for 11 years now.

Jackscepticeye:
Same situation with markiplier but 100x worse. He does more faggot SJW virtue signalling. Except unlike Markiplier he was never funny and only had LOUD = FUNNY going for him, so its no great loss.

Yeah I think I mentioned in another topic that I used to be a huge fan of Markiplier but lately, his stuff just gets on my nerves.

My complaint is slightly different though. I hate that he's trying hard to make his videos "comedy skits" because I just wanna see him play a damn game. I realized earlier (trying to watch a collab with Wade and Bob) that what's realy going on is he's playing the games the way a bored kid would, where he stops caring and just kinda goofs around, like clearly he has no immersion in this shit anymore.

I'm sure for some people this is fun and maybe makes the videos relatable, but thing is my least favorite type of gamer was always the idiot kid who would just goof off and ruin it for everyone else, and Markiplier pretty much is that, personified.

..............

Someone earlier mentioned LegalEagle. I used to like this guy when he talked about legal stuff in movies, but then he transitioned (maybe I should find a better word) to talking about actual law and current cases and became basically a political channel. Currently of his five most recent videos, only one of them is a classic style "law in movies" thing.

On that note, one thing that always struck me as weird about LegalEagle is... the guy is a real lawyer, right? And yet he has time to run an active Youtube channel? Funny thing is his recent Little Mermaid video does actually plug his law firm so he must still actually be practicing. Still, part of me always gets the feeling that while he might be a lawyer, he might not be a particularly good one.

It's because he never even wanted to be a big gaming YouTuber lol, he just lucked into it. His original channel was sketch comedy shit before he blew up with Let's Plays. Then he had that group Cyndago or however it's spelled that was for skits again, until that ended with the one guy passing away in a car wreck. Now he's so out of it with doing videos I don't know why he just doesn't quit making them. He's now trying to make it big with his In Space show thing and other projects, only to show up to Hollywood and seethe about no one giving a shit about some gay dyed hair YouTuber who played video games for a living. I'd feel bad for him if it wasn't for the fact that he's a complete soulless faggot now who went all in with the political flavor-aid (and grifting children for their money with things like Cloak).

Sucks too, I remember subbing to him when he had 200k subs and was playing random Gmod maps with Yamimash, those were fun.

You would probably be right. Without getting too much into details, I've seen many times with lawyers that were excellent at teaching laws but horrible at both practicing and being actual lawyers. I'm fairly sure he made that YT channel exactly for that reason.
He's also an incredible douche, and in many of his old videos he deliberately misses the point, but he's from new york, so this doesn't surprises me much.

Are you talking about those times where LegalEagle intentionally ignores context (like that when he reviewed that one Batman TAS episode even though that's clearly a sham trial)? Yeah, that can be silly but I always accepted that as "well he'd have nothing to talk about if he accounted for details like that" and found it could still be informative and reassuring just knowing how/why that stuff wouldn't play out the same way in real life (hopefully).

If you mean something else, I didn't catch it.

Most of my issues are from general sorts of behaviour on the website. For one, I can't stand youtubers who play up the British angle like that makes what they have to say more important. "Pip pip Cheerio I drink tea and..." Shut the fuck up faggot, you're not impressive.

Another behaviour I can't stand is when youtubers tell you what to do with the old "if you liked the video and want to see more hit that subscribe" shit. I'm not a retard, nor a child, and nor is this my first time using the website. I know if I want to subscribe, like or comment by myself, I don't need some soyface thumbnail making loser to tell me. Even more egregious when they ask you to like at the start of the video. I HAVEN'T FUCKING WATCHED IT YET, I DON'T KNOW IF I LIKE IT! It'll be like if a waiter served you a meal and asked you to rate it before you even took a bite.

And just to be specific, Scotty Kilmer. Fuck him.

And just to be specific, Scotty Kilmer. Fuck him.
Fuck Scotty Kilmer. I have more respect for people like Doug DeMuro over this clown. All of his videos are the exact fucking same, it's either bullshit clickbait about how "it's over" or it's just him bitching about any car that isn't an ancient Toyota from 30 years ago. I'd imagine most of his fanbase is the same, just a bunch of pretentious dickheads who think that they're above everyone else for driving a Toyota instead of "wasting their money" on an European/American car.
