I think that was originally the plan though.

If you look at how the UN, the other major global institutions are allowing China to do.
China runs at like 10,000% the carbon emissions of the rest of the world.
There's no border crisis, no NGO shipping in illegals by the boatload.
The US is allowing it's research and IP's to be taken.
It's essentially got the entire WEF 15 minute city plan already partly implemented. Something like 15,000 facial recognition cameras per city. Social credit Score. QR unlock residential zones.

It all makes me think the orders have come down on top, that China is going to the model functioning society. While the rest of the world decends into Brazil or Venezuela. And it doesn't matter if it does. Because they'd rather you die anyway.
