Finally, the killshot on OP's application: We changed the rules of the subreddit, chasing away normal users. BUT we'll graciously let you vote on this rule change at an uncertain point in the future after nobody else uses it. That's how democracy works! Reddit is truly run by the community!
I will give the mods one thing, at least they're commited to ruining the absolute wastes of space on reddit as well as the ones that are still usable. They didn't give into the normal janny-think of "this meme subreddit literally saves lives of trans youth everywhere". Perhaps janny solidarity isn't completely dead.

you can poz the fediverse the same way you poz many other places on the internet - pressure owners/operators of instances until they give in to your demands. once you have influence with enough instances, you can make them collectively defederate remaining instances that refuse to bend the knee.

Lemmy for example is already flooded with communists, and retarded politics as you know are a lot like gravity... they just need a little push. Seriously though think about it. All the established communities for normie interests end up on the left side of an iron curtain and all you really do on the right side is shit post with your buddies and have small groups for an interest made up of all the people who hard line agree with you.
