Lord Frogmire Appreciation Thread - The Better Brother (Formerly Known as Synthetic Man Appreciation Thread) - Might have an account here

YouTube does this all the time by the way. From whether or not a channel continues to show up in your notifications and you just forget about it to just not seeing it pop up in your recommend. Most of what you see on YouTube is content that YouTube wants you to see. If they could get away with it, they'd mass purge everyone who any modicum of individuality or lack of group-think. Of course they won't because that would make their intentions too obvious.
youtube's algorithm often tries to push big channels because of the ease from advertisements, this is why many creators ranted a while that they have to pick whatever the newest trend is going on to try and get viewers whereas big channels will always be recommended by it even if it has nothing to do with it but resembles something to the main ongoing trend, i've been recommended channels from big faggots too many times it's not even funny anymore.
As for his being shadowbanned, the reasons he gives are analytics. He watches his analytics and he knows that ever since the whole fiasco with Mauler and EFAP, his views have made a marked decrease. This means whomever is at the helm of YouTuve is specifically tweaking thing so his channel is not as visible as it could be given the regular slough of algorithm marks (subs, likes, comments, etc.)
the point of a shadowban is to slowly remove any potential channel notoriety, including disappearing from search or having some videos being punted to the lowest of the lowest list no matter if you copy/paste the video title, which is something that doesn't happen to him either.
using analytics only proves that regular viewers aren't finding his content that interesting at the moment.

This is where the grift comes in. You get these huge channels where the person or people running them start talking about subject that they know nothing about but they're forced to talk about them because they're trending.

That's also where you start to see the politics eek out. When a pop YouTuber isn't informed, he falls back on the regular slough of what he has listened or read from the mainstream and ends up just parroting opinions that tow the party line. Opinions he might not even truthfully subscribe to.

I'm reminded of folks on YT who jumped on the bandwagon in hating The Last Jedi back in 2017, yet--strangely--they proceed undeterred when similar instances of wokeness pervade other media.

Wow the end of the Trepang stream is damn depressing.

Real talk can be real depressing.

He's just another in an endless sea dooming over fucking video games, because nothing gets clicks from angry nerds who never leave their room more than "Gaming is DEAD video #1527402726". Bonus points for putting the evil frog in the thumbnail. That's how you know someone is BASED and REAL.
nah he's the oldest and loudest.
if you don't have moneys to self promote in $currentYear youtube, you have to be loud and cram yourself everywhere as well as follow trends else just stream for years like some million subs youtubers that pop up on recommendations out of nowhere, i swear to god i have no idea who the fuck The Spiffing Brit is but he has a fuckload of subs and has been streaming since 2013. how do i know about this faggot? youtube randomly recommended me a video of his when i was binge watching cyberpunk77 glitch videos.

this show how retarded the youtube recommended algorithm is.

TLDR: Not everything is a fucking conspiracy. Sometimes the reason your shit isn't recommended or you don't have as many views or subs as you think you deserve/should have is because it's just not very good.
This idea that the ONLY way to get noticed on youtube is either through buying your way into the algorithm, following the hottest trends, or screeching as loud as you can is nothing more than cope from retards who's content just isn't very good.

It's also a particularly retarded reasoning if you take into consideration how desperate people are for creators and content that DON'T do the things you mentioned.

If your content is actually good and/or people like it they'll share it and spread the word. The fact this dude has a thread and is being talked about at all is proof of that.

And as far as algorithm recommendations, I had no idea who this faggot was until I was binging video game critiques. So based on my anecdotal experience, the algorithm mostly works as intended. I get recommended shit that's related to whatever it is I've been watching recently. Sometimes it's big channels I've never heard of, which isn't some unbelievable idea considering how many people have over a million subs now, and sometimes it's shitters with less than 15k. Which is how basically every single "recommended" algorithm of every platform I use works. Sometimes Spotify recs an artist or band I've never heard of who has 10s of millions of monthly listeners, sometimes it shows me people who have less than 3k.

you can always damage control around analytics to say you've been shadowbanned though without even double fucking checking.

["i know how youtube works, just trust me and my crackhead theory bro"]
i wish i could post a reaction image of a cat laughing but i'm not on /v/.
i always have a good laff when he pulls out the crackpipe.

Are you the YouTube expert, then? If he's wrong, then let's hear why you think so.
it doesn't take an experto to call a crackhead theory for what it is, especially when he conjectured stages and tiers about shadowbans which have a very specific way of working for a very specific result of giving you a wrist slap with plausible deniability and hide your stupid ass for acting like a spambot, he also dodges channel deletion (which is the first stick that beats any youtuber that doesn't conform to "the message:tm:" directly) because of his way of making videos which hardly if ever picks beef with any youtuber (usually it's others youtubers trying to make response videos to ride on his viewcount for youtuber drama shit), he has claimed to get a strike here or there if he's mass reported but being striked doesn't equals to being shadowbanned, it's just a more clear way of youtube telling you that you fucked up with their vague guidelines.

and of course there is a difference between his spergout and full blown autismo that also gets in the nono youtube list if it gathers the attention of the non-automated system, he has many videos of constant bitching about shadowbans when he expects his analytics to reach a certain number but by then he should have easily figured out how the many audiences work as he has videos poking on every single one of them since he mostly recycles shit from /v/, their pro-leaning youtubers included as other kiwis noticed, yet doesn't give a passing note of it but instead rushes to the shadowban cope card about how he's not getting his shit.

sorry for NOOOTICING though, it's not what an expert should do right? clearly i never stated to be one in the first place however i'm in the thread about his sperging antics to talk about it (in a forum made for talking about such people and their sperging antics), since he has no gaems to review to poke at some audience that will gather reactions, of course, containing varying numbers...

oh and tell the nigger to give his two cents on nidal's game since he doesn't have anything new to shit on.

but that's how youtube works, what the fuck is this guy talking about
during the cyberpunk 2077 debacle, there were a lot of youtube content creators that made like 1 million views per video they made
after the whole trash fire got cool down a little, their views plummet to below 50k, i've seen this happen on multiple channels
avgn used to get 5 - 6 million (even more) views per video, but now he's barely breaking 2 million views per video, did youtube shadow-ban him too ?
your views are down, your videos don't get recommended like before (which has happened to a lot of other channels too), just accept it, stop coping and seething

also, you can't "my stream has gotten more popular over last year" to then say, "i think youtube is shadow-banning my channel"
that's the opposite of shadow ban my dude

the only channel that i know got shadow ban by youtube was leafy
youtube nerfed his channel so much to the point of you can't even find his channel by searching it on youtube back then

A per channel non-notified algorithmic suppression of presence is his definition of Shadow Banning. To be more clear he should probably call it something like "Shadow Suppression" instead. In addition just because your stream has gotten more views does not mean you have more eyes on your channel. It could just be your old audience realising you also stream.

Is that why he got bodied by Benedikta? He was too busy watching beastiality porn? I mean the /v/ threads already exposed him as a degenerate but that's too far.
I know I rated you Mad at the Internet but in all sincerity if you have something on him you should post it. I don't use 4chan but there might be information there that either you or @StacticShock could elaborate.

I take it he thought that the recent Final Fantasy game was just okay to say the least.

Though, this comment was interesting to me:

This comment is accurate. From what I saw, the only time the game was fun were the moments where you actually get to play it.

Huh, imagine that. A video game that's only fun when it decides to be video-game again.

The story, as lore-filled as it is, has little-to no energy moving it forward. Modern writers need to understand that filling your stories with loads and loads of stuff doesn't mean much if there’s nothing motivating it.

Synth doesn't get very technical with his phrasing. Folks have tried to peg him on that when he uses "woke" in a way they believe isn't technically true, but it doesn't matter. Synth speaks from the gut more than anything else, so he'll use a term like "Shadowban" because more people would be familiar with what he's talking about.
