youtube's algorithm often tries to push big channels because of the ease from advertisements, this is why many creators ranted a while that they have to pick whatever the newest trend is going on to try and get viewers whereas big channels will always be recommended by it even if it has nothing to do with it but resembles something to the main ongoing trend, i've been recommended channels from big faggots too many times it's not even funny anymore.YouTube does this all the time by the way. From whether or not a channel continues to show up in your notifications and you just forget about it to just not seeing it pop up in your recommend. Most of what you see on YouTube is content that YouTube wants you to see. If they could get away with it, they'd mass purge everyone who any modicum of individuality or lack of group-think. Of course they won't because that would make their intentions too obvious.
the point of a shadowban is to slowly remove any potential channel notoriety, including disappearing from search or having some videos being punted to the lowest of the lowest list no matter if you copy/paste the video title, which is something that doesn't happen to him either. As for his being shadowbanned, the reasons he gives are analytics. He watches his analytics and he knows that ever since the whole fiasco with Mauler and EFAP, his views have made a marked decrease. This means whomever is at the helm of YouTuve is specifically tweaking thing so his channel is not as visible as it could be given the regular slough of algorithm marks (subs, likes, comments, etc.)
using analytics only proves that regular viewers aren't finding his content that interesting at the moment.
