Here's the thing though: he did have social interactions, all through school. He seems to have been socially isolated since he graduated, but prior to that, he was in environments (church, school, boyscouts, etc.) where he was forced to interact with a lot of people. Not that I think he had deep, meaningful relationships, but he had plenty of opportunity to learn and practice social skills. Or at least observe enough to fake it.

Yet here he goes again, stuffing his foot all the way in his mouth, and having no idea he's done it. It is astonishing to watch someone who has accomplished so little try to condescend to someone who has accomplished much more. And done so in the industry he aspires to. She's starring in and running a show on the Las Vegas Strip. She didn't sue anyone to get there. Where are his fruits? We're halfway through the year and so far no "She don't like nice guys," no "BBQ against bigotry," no Billy Joel biopic or cover song. No teaser trailer for "Always Yours."

I know this is how he is. He has no idea he's making a fool of himself, or that he's just insulted her. But, damn. There are times when I think surely he can't go on like this. He can't still be doing this at 42, 52, 72. But he's Russell Greer, so of course he can.

it's pretty agreed-upon that referring to black people as "Chocolate" is racist, and he's definitely done that before.

Although I get what you mean, I still think that he does have some disdain for nonwhites, even if he can tamp it down when he gets a boner.

Those weren't real social interactions though. They didn't treat him like a person, they treated him like a special retard, so all he learned was that he's more special than everyone else.
