From what I'm guessing this feels like the shooting was the straw that broke the camel's back. I also wouldn't be surprised if Marseilles and Paris and many other french cities had pallets of bricks or left-wing NGOs help agitate things.

In Paris the protests and rioters are all organized, the anarchist/antifa/black block whatever you want to call them always show up and are basically there to justify the riot police to crack heads. The whole thing is a dance and each side knows and plays their part in a very choreographed manner. When the gilet jaunes started protesting it was unexpected and it broke the usual chains of organization, for once it was the not the local unions, NGOs, or black block in charge, it was an actual populist movement which terrified the state, which responded with insane levels of propaganda via its controlled media while the police went fucking ape shit on them. For the first time in decades the riot police didn't have an opponent that was willing to lose, the gilet jaunes were pissed and wanted reform and they were not going to get bullied by the police. This is why you saw shit like the police and fire fighters getting into fist fights, it was a true protest movement.

This current batch of rioting has jumped the rails as well, the migrants smell blood in the water because Macron and his cronies are pathetically weak with zero loyalty to them or the nation itself, so they're out to enrich themselves via looting, the black block rioters aren't able to get the train back on the rails to gracefully lose either. The police and government are entirely unused to dealing with real opponents so they're fumbling through every kind of tactic no matter how heavy handed, even as the riots seem to be spreading into Belgium and Switzerland if those tweets are true. This doesn't require outside intervention, no its not glow niggers or Russian troll farms, its just a group of highly pissed off ethnics taking the opportunity to smash, burn and loot shit under the guise of ethnic unity.
