People obsessed with the inner workings and needless details of other countries' politics. It's not much of an issue when they are just following and occasionally tuning in. I'm talking about the people who actually get riled up by national laws that don't pertain to them.
This sounds pretty weird but I happen to not be an American. I live on the other side of the globe. But our news here has a tendency to be obsessed with all the fine details of the American elections and well, all things American.
The 2016 was an absolute nightmare. Even here, families got into heated arguments about who the best candidate was and their politics and shit and I remember being "Assholes, we have no say in this. Just calm your titties and wait until the shit show is over."
I remember coming home one day and my family cornered me, badgering me about who I would vote for and I blurted out Clinton and they praised me for it while talking about the ways Trump was most likely to be assassinated.
I also blame our media's obsession with Trump specifically. And subsequently treating him like a punching bag by writing shit articles about how his own sister hates him or whatever - while sucking the penis of Biden and Clinton.
So when Roe v Wade happened, people were "OMG. SO GROSS. SO DISGUSTING. ALSO TRUMP" even though I don't think it had anything to do with him. But more importantly, it pisses me off that people here get so riled up over it. You are not Americans. The laws do not pertain to you. Please, relax!
