Everything these two do feels like a weird self-humiliation bit.
What other purpose can their possibly be to admit this was all a waste of time? It gives your haters bait to play with. It makes the people you had drama with come out looking better. It makes you look like a bad businessman. It makes your competitor (keemstar of all people), look like he knows what hes doing. The people that donated for chairty are going to feel scammed.
It's probably because they always look so greasy but I just get such weird vibes when trying to figure out their motivations.
It's not so much about humiliation, but pity and (primarily) stirring up short-term drama, imo.
The smart thing to do in terms of retaining any sort of dignity, would be to let this whole shitshow lie. But obviously, given how Ian handled everything to do with Sam (and not just the Froggy stuff. Doing that "documentary" was ridiculously petty and scummy. Doing it because of some slight on YouTube from years ago is fucking insane) that had no chance of happening.
Now, booting Froggy was mostly just LA-brained self-righteous bullshit crossed with egotism, and maybe Ian running his mouth about it was just that. But now that he got his ass beat at his own event, cried about it, and we've just now found out he's down a quarter million for it? What other choice does he have?
This dude's career is over. Guys like Keemstar and Sam shitting on him is his best opportunity to stay in the spotlight, not just in terms of basic relevancy, but so he can weave some victim narrative about being harassed by "alt-right incels", which is the kind of thing that the type of fans he
actually wants would be all over like flies on shit. Problem is, he's so retarded that he didn't realize that would've worked way better if he let Sam participate and raise havoc.
I'm calling it now. This is the beginning of the true end. Believe it or not, we are actually at the peak of the downward spiral. All the dumb shit Ian has done from marrying Anisa onward, is the equivalent of a corporation going woke in the hopes of getting ESG money. Ian sold out his original audience, his recent videos are getting way less views, we now know CC2 was an abject financial failure, and only succeeded in getting more attention for Sam.
This isn't so much about humiliation, or even anger. It's desperation.
