I have a close relative whose triple bypass got put off a month due to something fairly minor. The whole family tried to get them to reconsider and spent the month fretting that the person wouldn't make it to surgery, but the surgeons assured us it would be fine, and it was. And that was at a really good hospital with really good insurance. Whatever state funded garbage he's using probably just puts patients off hoping they'll keel over in the meantime.

What does he need an order of protection for? Is his dad showing up in front of his house with signs and a guitar and songs about how much he hates his troon child?

Dave keeps saying he just wants to be left alone and be free of his parents, yet he's obviously the one doing all the stalking.

That letter he wrote to the judge is brilliant, he's totally not going to ask why you need a protective order if you're moving and want a bunch of contact with your dad before you do so nor will he question you on how you're trying to use it to force his name off property.:story:

He's a monster for letting his cat suffer like this. She clearly should have been put to sleep some time ago. His description of her walking and the effort it takes, she has clearly had terminal arthritis for some time and he has kept her alive, prolonging her no doubt immense suffering, just for his benefit. I thought he was a horrible person before, but this reaches barbaric levels of sadism. Our only hope at this point is that someone puts him to sleep (in Minecraft).

God forbid his father gives him another cat from their household. If he has tortured this cat so severely by refusing to do the only sane and reasonable thing of putting her to sleep, I fear for what is in store for the other cat.

He's talking about his brothers who are all in their 40s? Right? What the fuck kind of "parenting" are you supposed to do with goddamn adults??? He's talking as if they are all still minors and depend on them. Dave is so goddamn dumb it makes my head hurt. That entire letter to his dad was just continual projection. It's like he thinks he is still their dependent and they have to give him the right Xbox for Christmas or else he's going to throw a temper tantrum. Ugh

Dave seems to misunderstand that his parents letting him live there during recovery from surgery was a kindness on their part, and if they ask you not to do something, like sleep on their couch, you make sure you don't fucking do it. If you do decide to abuse their kindness they have every right to yell at you for being disrespectful and doing what they asked you not to do. They also had every right to kick his ass out and tell him to get lost if he didn't want to follow the rules. He also had the option to just fucking leave if he didn't want to get yelled at for being a disrespectful prick. Obviously he didn't do that, so he has to expect that when he is an asshole he will get yelled at, and his continuing to stay is tantamount to an agreement to be yelled at for doing such things since he is capable of extricating himself from that situation at any time.

Dave seems to have a really weird misunderstanding of what he is owed in life. His parents, as he is an adult, owe him absolutely nothing, in a literal sense, they don't even need to acknowledge his existence. Anything they do give him is a kindness on their part and should be seen and respected as such. His parents are welcome to give his other siblings solid gold, jewel encrusted dildos if they wanted to while pretending that Dave doesn't exist and that is just how things are and he is welcome to impotently complain about it, but they would owe him absolutely nothing.

He doesn't seem to understand that life is not fair and symmetrical. If your parents give your sibling something, they don't need to give you anything in return. It's your right to bitch about it, but that doesn't really mean anything.

Bottom line, get with the program, Dave. You are owed nothing by anyone nor the world. Life is not fair, live with it. Your parents are probably decent people, but even if they aren't and they chained you to a radiator and fed you dog food until you were 18, that's fucking life, deal with it. You can't keep blaming them for everything. The ability to say they fucked you up stops when you are 18 and get a fucking therapist. It is your job to unfuck yourself the best you can if they fucked you up, and then suck it up and deal with the rest. That's how life is, that's how things work. No amount of whining on your part is going to change absolutely any of that. So, shut the fuck up, put on your big girl panties, and get your shit together.

When Dave has acted like a sped while living with his dad, Dr. Joe yelled at him for swearing and acting like a sped in front of the visiting grandkid.

What's interesting is that since Dave is an identical twin, the kid is genetically essentially his son.

So, Dave wasn’t informed (either by the court or his attorney) the hearing had been postponed. If he’s NOT going to be living in Columbia, what’s the point? Presumably Dr. Joe’s order of protection precludes conversation either way. Such weird hedging language — ‘since he didn’t appear… [Dr Joe] must have asked…’. Poor Dave, denied another opportunity to publicly shame his father.

I assume Dr. Joe’s no longer paying for Dave’s apartment, so Dave can no longer afford it, hence the move. I hope his new roommates enjoy rent paid in charcuterie boards, misshapen (excuse me, ‘rustic’) pizzas, and condescension. If he can no longer use the family home as his address, will his new state recognize his Missouri-approved sex and Missouri-approved right to cannabis, without a court order?

Dave wants to take TWO cats, which he can’t afford. Is it just me, or were these cats barely mentioned (if at all) prior to Dave’s homecoming? He speaks of them as if they were childhood pets. If the ages are correct, Dave would have been 20 (2004) when he got Hermione (a year before his rape, for context). He would have been 27 (2011) when he got Mr. Hickory (about the time he reports becoming active with Mizzou’s skeptic community). For further context, it would still be another 2 years before he got his first job, as PR Director for American Atheists.

I also understand the picture could be from the Sears portrait studio and this woman is doing fine. If she did die, she was at least spared Dave thinking they'd been dating, Dave thinking he'd been dumped, and Dave telling her boyfriend to get tested for STDs.

Dave supports BLM. Troons in general, but Dave in particular, fight to deny this one fact, harder than he denies his own biology. He will go to his grave believing he is owed, despite all the things he has already been given purely for being an antagonistic, mentally ill asshole, that he had no right to.

The only question really is whether he'll die in the next couple of years, or whether he'll be another Tommy Tooter. Because he's incapable of understanding anything you said as applying to him.
