Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Oh yeah, on that same show they were talking about the supposed drone attack, and how Ukraine is desperate for results to show their Western overlords during whatever international summit that is coming (I think someone touched on this topic here recently).
Saying how drones are aimed in a way that they're going toward a strategic target, but so that an alternative civilian target would be nearby just in case.
All the while it's Russian attacks that end up with civilian casualties.
It's so fucking hypocritical, yet all these people are completely oblivious to it.

All kind of lunacy not even worth consideration, but I'm sure the vatnigger thread would swear by every statement therein.

Lot of the anti-war anti-Ukrainian Westerners are all in the belief of not throwing good money after bad. And have absolutely zero patience that is required to actually win a war. For the United States after stalemating in Korea, losing Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan put a lot of Americans into a fuck the world isolationist stance. Especially in regard to being in another proxy war with Russia. Thanks to pro-USSR, pro-communist and anti-America nuke propaganda being drilled into Americans for more than 60 years. Those Americans rather see the world including the USA be enslaved than risk a nuclear war.

Fresh Fog of War mystery!. Ukrainian troops advancing have come across a compacted pallet of mystery meat. /uhg/ claims its the trash compacted remains of Mobiks, /chug/ say's it rotting pig carcasses. You decide!

In all seriousness, its probably not mobiks trash compacted into an easy to transport form, but the Russians and Russiaboos seem really triggered by it.

The cube reminded me of this:

Regarding the Mobik³ I think it's pig meat; although it's pretty funny people have seen enough of Russian behavior, that they'd honestly immediately believe it's compacted mobik. But fuck it, the latter explanation is more lulzy, so my personal in-game lore is that it's a true-&-honest mobiks cube.

And now for some advanced Russian tourniquet training....

Currently been seeing both pro-Ukraine and pro-Russia sides losing their shit over what to do with all of the "Nazis," "fascists," "ring-wingers" who're fighting for Ukraine once the war is over and they start going home.

Edit: Spacebattles is completely oblivious or faking it to what "re-education not possible" means to noncommunists. As any thing that phrase is used is right before the unre-educationable population is rounded up and genocided.
I'm gonna fucking laugh so hard when after Ukraine wins, soy boys annoy them so much over muh Nazis that Putin ends up invited to Kiev and he signs a new treaty of alliance and frenship with Ukraine

I can easily see how it could go too.

Be me. Colonel Ivanovich. Russian Army.

Be put in charge of body retrieval and repatriation.

It's a dirt job. Someone has to do it.
Body's start piling up. My superiors demand I increase efficiency.

Don't give me any body bags. Only one truck to transport to airport since my idiot conscripts sold 2/3rds of the fuel i need for vodka.

Stack bodies like chord wood in shipping container. Comrade general comes by. Says I do my job or get assigned to front line.

Is okay. Russian ingenuity wins out. Put all dead pidors in car compactor. Create perfectly shaped cube. Put on pallot and onto one truck.

When they get to crematorium just burn whole thing to ash. Sweep all ashes into marked urns and mail back to family. At least some of dust will be their son.

Job done. Get promotion for being so efficient.

What the fuck is going on in that video? Its horrible.

Do they ever post pictures of these drones? There's video of the second one that hit the Kremlin but it's hard to get scale from that.
It's difficult to believe that a small drone will happily go several hundred km and get close to the mark.

Also admitting that they won't intercept Ukrainian drones until they are actually in Moscow Oblast. Big shock.

On the meat cube, it looks very consistent in terms of cut. Likely bits of animal carcass that are re-fed but have been left in the road since a war is on.
Horrifying to behold

One wants to give some credit to the opposition but when "Populist" figures come out against everything thing from the Korean War to Iraq 2 using the same arguments it all gets very samey. Yes, I'm sure CIA is asshole, that doesn't mean they started every conflict in history. Hell, I've heard some of these people claim that FDR knew Pearl Harbor was going to happen and intentionally let it happen to start a war. These numbnuts generally forget about the second half of the "Day of Infamy" speech where FDR lists all the other places Japan attacked.

It's a myopic reading of history, every, fucking, time. No other actors, no other imperatives.

I think this leads to a blindspot where if peace suddenly breaks out then Russia won't fuck around again.

@Pocket Dragoon I meant the Russian POWs with plastic bags over their heads.
They're volunteers for the next cube.

But in seriousness, I assume they're improvising some sort of oxygen deprivation effect to give the tourniquet training a little more fizz and sparkle.

Cubic memes!

The news seems to be that by the time I finish my beauty sleep tomorrow, I'll get irradiated and develop special powers.
Gonna go out for a run inside the combined thunderstorms/heat wave/radioactive fallout. I'll let you guys know how it went lmao
As soon as the wind starts blowing from the East, take to your bunkers.

On the bright side, the "economic migrants" may leave for their shitholmeland.

Allegedly in Donetsk

General Staff of Armed forces of Ukraine says Russian troops deployed possible explosive devices at the roof of 4th unit of Zaporizhzhia power plant

I wonder how they came to this conclusion. They can see the roof with drones and from across the shoreline.

Be sure to blame the US for this 1488% CIA Ukronazi op when you die of cancer.

Another half a year passed since the start of the 3 day special action. Very sad. Just a current state post about the electricity production of the European Union:

214214.png
Oh my. What is this? Yes the EU is currently using less electricity. A good chunk of these are the current slow economy as well as just energy saving methods still applying. I talked with our local electrician last year and the amount of (Energy efficient) freezers, fridges that were switched because of the rising electricity costs were huge according to him. It's a family business and neither he nor his father has seen such a demand within their life.

The short takeaways are:
Total Coal from 208 TWh to 161 TWh => - 47 TWh

Some areas of the EU are still afflicted by drought but it is nowhere near the level of last year so:
Hydro-Run-of-River: From 78 TWh to 89 TWh => + 11 TWh
+ A bit more from the hydro water reservoirs

France also got more and more of their nuclear reactor fleet back to service. There are still a few issues, but the production steadily increased the past few months. It wasn't enough to come back to the 2021 levels. This might still be an issue for this years winter when electricity demand there is going though the roof when the heating season starts. But maybe they are able to put more reactors into service till then. Future prices are a bit more pessimistic though.

For wind + Solar
From 298 TWh to 318 TWh => + 20 TWh

And last but not least:
Gas from 217 TWh to 176 TWh => - 41 TWh

Russia provided around 800 TWh of natural gas to the EU. With assumed 40 % efficiency for the electricity production this alone is a reduction 102,5 TWh of gas for half a year. So already a substantial reduction.

That's quite a lot of change within a single year. Interesting aspects will be in the case of France getting their nuclear power fleet back on track. That could greatly reduce gas consumption in Spain and the Benelux states.

We are also entering the timeframe where the first few on-shore wind installations, that were initiated by the invasions, should enter the early construction phrase so we can expect a higher share of wind in the upcoming years to come in addition to existing projects being finished.
For example the Dutch will bring 2.2 GW of offshore capacity towards the grid. The French another around another 1 GW. All towards the end of 2023.

So that will take more strain away from the electricity grid. Especially the increase in solar is huge since the start of the invasion. Around 30 TWh of electricity more from solar alone since then. And that shit will stay for 20+ years. Russia really made the EU speedrun the transition to renewables.

But again. Next winter will be another challenge and a lot will depend on how cold it is going to get. Another mediocre winter like last year and the EU will easily get over it.

Sadly I have a hard time finding sources for the car sector and the heating sector. If anyone has some info for these I gladly take it.
